  • Honeyz Beauty Review: Hada Labo

Sponsored Review Hada Labo Cleansing Oil – The Make Up Obliterator I put on make up whenever I go out and I usually leave the house looking like this… Picture Credits: Pearlmagik.com Ok, I was kidding. Probably something more like this… It is pretty evident that I usually put on rather thick make up. 🙂 After each exhausting day, I dread removing make up as it can be quite a chore to remove those budge-proof cosmetics. To add to the misery, I haven’t found a make up remover that can remove my make up effectively as I usually suffer mini breakouts afterwards. Well… Not until I got to know about Hada Labo’s new baby! Hada Labo Cleansing Oil with High Purity Olive Oil This was introduced to me by The Sample Store darlings. Here’s a brief background Formulated with high purity Olive Oil, Hada Labo Hydrating Cleansing Oil helps to gently remove dirt, oil and heavy makeup effortlessly. It is a 1-step makeup remover that can also remove tough, waterproof mascara and eye liner. (Really? Gotta test this out!) The 2 key ingredients are 1) High Purity Olive Oil and 2) Super Hyaluronic Acid. The Ultra Pure Olive Oil ensures high performance cleansing, and yet is very gentle with no irritation to skin. Super Hyaluronic Acid gives 2X more moisture than normal hyaluronic acid, where 1g can retain 12 litres of water, giving you refreshing smoothness after cleansing. (Remember the famous tagline of the Hada Labo Lotion ‘One drop locks up an ocean’? It contains this same ingredient too!) Here’s my personal review of the product: Not surprisingly, its texture is just like olive oil – light and greasy. The formula is mild and has neither fragrance nor colorant. Hada Labo claimed that it is able to remove tough, water-resistant mascara and eye liner. Well, I decided to verify the claim with the following experiment. My Hada Labo Effectiveness Test Here’s a make up swatch of foundation, blusher, liquid and pencil eyeliner. Squirted some Hada Labo Cleansing Oil and slathered it on my hand. Here’s a close up. Almost immediately, the make up started to smudge. I gently massaged the oil on my hand and this was the result. Pretty impressive eh? Thereafter, emulsify the oil by rinsing it with water. Here’s a little tip. Apply the cleansing oil with dry fingers onto dry face. Rub the cleansing oil over the make up. Then wet fingers and rub again to produce a light foam on the face. Thereafter, rinse it off thoroughly. I usually use several types of make up remover such as eye and lip make up remover, cleansing milk, etc. to get rid of the make up gunk on my face. This is because some make up removers are milder and are more suitable for sensitive areas. The Hada Labo Cleansing Oil is a ‘one-size-fits-all’ kind of remover in that it is gentle enough to remove make up from all parts of the face. Now removing make up is a breeze so 10 thumbs up! Another plus point – it doesn’t sting my eyes when it gets into them unlike many other brands’. (Alright it’s a MAJOR plus point.) Usually, I’ll use cotton pad with make up remover to remove the make up. This is to ensure that all traces of my make up is removed. Well, these days, I don’t have to use any because it cleanses well even without them. Yay! I can save on cotton pads and time now! 😀 Despite this, I still attempted this next experiment. I pumped some cleansing oil onto a cotton pad and tried to remove my make up with it. To be honest, this method is not that effective in removing make up as traces of foundation and mascara could still be seen on my face even after much massaging with the cotton pad. The cleansing oil was also dripping off my palms as it could not be absorbed by the cotton pad. Not an enjoyable process at all. I conclude that it is still best used with your hands! All in all, I think this is a fantastic make up remover for my oily and sensitive skin. It is non-drying, odorless and non-pore clogging. (I know that because no more mini breakouts after cleansing.) It is also really easy to remove without leaving a tight feeling on my face. This is great as it does not strip my skin of its natural oils. And the drawbacks… Sheesh! I can’t think of any! So 5 Honeyz crowns! The Hada Labo Hydrating Cleansing Oil retails exclusively at all Watsons outlets at SGD 20.90. Besides the cleansing oil, Hada Labo also has another hydrating make up remover in their range. Hada Labo SHA Hydrating Make Up Remover It contains 2 types of Hyaluronic Acid, normal and Super Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate while it cleanses. It is priced at SGD 17.90 and is easily available at Watsons, Guardian, Fairprice and other major departmental stores. • Fashion Review: LOEF’s Striped Midi with Chiffon (Vermillion) and Inglese Trench Coat (Black)

Achieve sartorial splendor with Lilies of e Field! Inglese Trench Coat (Black) As seen on LOEF Afterthoughts… I think I might have jumped the gun a little bit on winter fashion when I wore this trench coat to office today. Because everyone around me were still clad in loose fitting and summery cute dresses. Well, it started raining cats and dogs (Singapore’s equivalent to winter) in the afternoon, so that made me feel less out of place after that. Nonetheless, I think this is an extremely elegant and classy piece. If you’d noticed, I’m really into eye-poping colors lately and have been experimenting extensively with color-blocking fashion. So getting this full black trench coat is like going back a notch for me, in a good way as it displays a kind of ‘subtle glamour’. I’ve paired this with a dress in the photos but you can also wear it with a pair of worn-out shorts and casual tank top like Fashiontoast’s Rumi Neely. Credits to Fashiontoast.com The material is thin, soft and sheer. It wrinkles rather easily too. But that’s not a huge deal to me because it looks good wrinkled too. The material might be a tad bit too soft because the sleeves wouldn’t stay folded and they exposed unsightly seams. Pretty untidy looking. The workmanship is shoddy too as several loose threads were sighted. All in all, I would give this 3.5 Honeyz crowns. It could have been better with tidier and manageable sleeves and quality workmanship. Striped Midi w/ Chiffon T/O (Vermillion) As seen on LOEF Afterthoughts… How do I describe this dress? One price for two looks. Wear it with the chiffon top-overlay for a fresh, conservative girl-next-door look. (Every guy’s favorite!) OR remove the top-overlay to shake things up a little bit for an edgier style. There’s an elastic waist band that shapes a blouson bodice. This is great as the contrast striped skirt is pretty tight and may reveal bulgy tummy if you view it from the side. The stripes are also perfect as they distract people from looking at the contour of the tummy. (An illusion of a flat tummy is always key!) The top has a rather low neckline and the material is slightly sheer so a tube top is highly recommended. The chiffon top-overlay feels slightly rough but not uncomfortable to wear. The color of the dress is true to the pictures on LOEF’s website. Yes, the red is rather bright. Overall, I would give this 4 Honeyz crowns. It is perfect for the weekend shopping, beach getaway and clubbing nights. (It’s probably too hot for first dates.) Models Jul JW Cheerio! • Fashion Review: Corporate Lookbook

Once again, raising the style bar with Corporate Lookbook. Hey my stylish femmes! How are you doing on this Halloween weekend? Well, I had a blast playing Halloween dress up at a friend’s Halloween Housewarming party… It’s not hard to guess what I was dressed as. … and a hell of a time “confronting my fears” at Halloween attraction – FrightFest@Singapore Flyer. I hope you had fun too! Shoving Halloween aside, how are you doing on your fashion resume lately? I’ve been updating my wardrobe with lots of classy business casual apparels since I’m in the office almost 50 hours a week. You see, I strongly believe that a Honeyz girl should know how to look elegant and stylish even while dealing with onerous demands at the office. Well, the perennial question is – where do we go to buy affordable and fashionable office clothing? The answer to that? Corporate Looklook! Miriam Pleated Dress (Peach) As seen on Corporate Lookbook Our Version Afterthoughts… I love the pleats and the striking color of this dress! It certainly makes one stand out from the world of black and white suits while keeping the silhouettes simple. I’m especially impressed with the quality of this dress. The material felt thick and stiff, but not to worry, it does not feel comfortable at all. Actually, it feels like I’m wearing paper because it crumples like one when I sit down. It does not wrinkle because of that though so ten thumbs up to that! Who says we can’t be conservative and stylish at the same time? The 32″ length and the high neckline is ideal for the workplace. I don’t think anyone wants to see their male colleagues gaping at their over-exposed bust or legs at the workplace. The workmanship is pretty exquisite too. Seriously, I can easily give this 5 Honeyz crowns for its over the top quality and design. Genet Ruffled Dress (Mustard) As seen on Corporate Lookbook Our Version Afterthoughts… This is an absolute fuss-free modish dress that is great for after-work parties too. (A hot favorite for lazy bones like me.) The design and cutting is perfect for my frame and the lustrous ruffles hides the less-endowed figure well. However, the elastic band at the waist is slightly tight for me so I think it may not be too comfortable to wear for UK8 and up. Material and workmanship is of top notch quality. The chiffon is accompanied with inner lining so it is not sheer at all. Besides the workplace, it is also great for frolicking on the beach! (Pretty evident from the photos.) 4.5 Honeyz crowns! Taryn Flower Printed Dress As seen on Coporate Lookbook Our Version Afterthoughts… Pump up your office style quotient with floral prints! Tack on a blazer in the morning for a serious look and embellish it with accessories and belts for the cocktails after work! The material and workmanship is pretty decent. Here’s the downer. The inner lining is pretty short. It’s a hassle because the outer fabric is extremely sheer. The neckline is also pretty low and sides are wide, so a tube top is recommended. All in all, I think this is a great lazy dress that exudes the right amount of femininity and style. 4 Honeyz crowns! Models Location L’esprit De Naiyang, Phuket, Thailand Thanks belles for reading. • Fashion Review: Rock and Retail

Are you ready for your next retail therapy? “You’ve got mail!” That was the first thing I heard Mum exclaimed when I stepped into my house two weeks ago. Guess what? It was a parcel from Rock and Retail ! Rock and Retail is the latest addition to my list of favorite blogshops. They conform to a younger age demographic with their bold use of bright colors and unconventional designs such as their signatures -‘Asymmetric Pseudo Two-Piece Top’ and ‘Pleat Front Corset Tie Flutter Sleeves Top’. Owners of Rock and Retail, Natasha and Joy certainly have a knack for fashion. This is evident from the wide array of fashion styles featured in their online store, and the speed at which these delectable self-manufactured pieces are sold out as soon as they are launched. Pretty impressive for a young blogshop. To add feathers to their caps, Natasha and Joy are still embracing teenhood. So I’m doubly impressed! Alright, enough said. Please let me, dear fashion-forward folks, present you Honeyz Fashion Review: Rock and Retail. Freewheel Urban Tunic (Tumeric) As seen on Rock and Retail Our Version Afterthoughts… This tumeric baby clearly exhibits a medley of femininity and playfulness. In the last ensemble, I tried to pull off an eclectic mix of 80s inspired fashion and bold colors look with a pair of burgundy high waist pants and sienna heels. (All hail color block fashion!) The first thing I noticed about this top is that it’s true to the color shown on Rock and Retail’s (R&R) website. Usually colors are brighter on the blogshops’ websites than in real life so big thumbs up to that! The material is soft and very comfortable to wear. It is not sheer at all. I wore a tube top because I found the neckline too low and the sides too wide. Speaking of matching boob tubes, I think this tumeric top will go well with a variety colors such as white, navy, magenta, etc. Workmanship is great too. Minimal loose threads found. I love the flairs on the top as it hides unsightly belly bulges and gives the illusion of a well-endowed bust. Overall, I would give this 4.5 Honeyz crowns. It’s a steal! V-neck Knitted Pullover in Mustard As seen on Rock and Retail Our Version Afterthoughts… This adorable knitted pullover injects both conservative appeal and playful seduction into one’s style. I know that sounds like an oxymoron but it really does! Especially with the long sleeved feature and the loosely knitted material. The material feels like cashmere wool and is pretty warm on the skin so actually, it’s a little impractical to wear to the beach. Not even during winter, as it’s not thick enough (even though it has a sort of winter aesthetics). But! Fashion reigns over functionality for me so I still think its great for the beach. Don’t you agree? Workmanship is not that great as I found strands of wool threads hanging on the hem of the top. (Not a pretty sight.) I have a pretty long torso so I always find it hard to find tops that flatters my body shape. I thought the length of this top fits me perfectly. All in all, I think this could be a hit and also a miss, so 3 Honeyz crowns! • Honeyz Beauty Review: Amethystory

Sponsored Review Delve into the goodness of the amethyst with Amethystory! Hello belles! Do you miss me?? A million apologies for the two week hiatus as I was in Phuket shooting the next few series of Honeyz Fashion Reviews . Exciting eh? So watch out for them! Back to today’s post – Honeyz Beauty Review. As the title of my blog post indicates, the star of today’s post is Amethystory. I’ve heard all the raves about Amethystory and its amazing hydrating and whitening properties from newspapers, television commercials, magazines, beauty blogs, just to name a few. So I was exhilarated when I received an email from The Sample Store for a request to review Amethystory’s products, and of course I responded with a resounding yes! ***However, please be rest assured that even though the products were sponsored, it does not have any bearing on the content of this post. Opinions stated are still genuine and honest. Well, I’m sure you notice the huge gemstone in the introductory picture. It is an Amethyst, a semi-precious gemstone that is a violet variety of the quartz often used in jewelry. This crystal is often believed to be a natural tranquilizer for dispelling intoxication, relieving stress, soothing irritation, balancing mood and inspiring the intellect. Amethyst is well known as a natural aid for our body. It produces small, detectable magnetic field & emits beneficial far infrared radiation & negative ions that enhance circulation, promote anti-oxidation & rejuvenate skin cells, all of which are essential to help smoothen & beautify skin. A coveted gem desired for its power to heal and rejuvenate, this purple quartz gemstone is uniquely incorporated into the latest skincare series from Amethystory which contains real amethyst granules with triple functions: Cell-rejuvenation, anti-oxidation and promotion of micro blood circulation for a healthier and more luminous skin. So there you go! A jewel coveted by royalties in history made available to the larger population through our daily skincare products. How good can this get??? So now you know, the main selling point of the product is that the Amethyst helps to rejuvenate, whiten.. Eh wait! Did someone say whiten? Wheee! I think this is the answer to many Singaporean girls’ skin pigmentation woes. This is a common and harrowing problem for many of us as we’re constantly exposed to UV radiation on this VERY sunny island. And whenever I think ‘smooth fair skin’, I think Snow White! Look at that flawless skin!! Urgh! I want her complexion! Okay, I know she isn’t real. Just trying to relive that last bit of childhood fantasy. Here’s a modern day Snow White – celebrity style icon, Vanessa Hudgens – if you need to relate. See? Even Zac can’t resist a fair Vanessa! (I hope I don’t sound like I’m trivializing real life romances as they are definitely more than just fairy tales.) Alright, enough of fairy tales. Here’s reality. The ‘snow and white’ skin is no longer unattainable because with Amethystory, you can easily achieve it! The answer to your skin woes. (From left to right: Mineral Bubble Face Wash, Mineral Aqua Whitening Enhancer and Mineral Aqua Gel.) Here’s the first step to snow white skin. Mineral Bubble Face Wash Bubble cleansers are all the rage in the beauty world these days. So it’s probably no surprise that Ginvera also rode on this bandwagon with its Amethystory series. Directions Squirt an adequate amount of bubble cleanser on palm and slather it on your face. Then massage in circular motion. Afterthoughts… These days, I’m on a bubble wash kick because I heard this method of cleansing is much gentler on the skin and it gets the gunk off the face more effectively. Moreover, I’m addicted to the sight of bubbles oozing out of dispenser nozzles. So this new product definitely excites me! However, the Amethystory’s Mineral Facial Wash’s bubbles didn’t amuse me that much as they were not as dense and fluffy as many other brands’ and the foam became watery a short while after. The foam was pretty soft though, so I guess that made up for it. Here’s a plus point. Alright, a few plus points actually. It is pretty easy to rinse off and it leaves my face feeling ‘squeaky-clean’ without stripping it of natural oils. I know that because it didn’t feel tight after wash so kudos to its non-drying quality! The cleanser has no scent. Since my skin is pretty sensitive, I’m all for fragrance free products. All in all, a pretty gentle and affordable facial cleanser so 3.5 Honeyz crowns! Next, exfoliate! Mineral Aqua Gel Directions Pump an adequate amount on skin and gently massage in circular motion. And you should be able to see white flakes as shown below. (According to Ginvera, these are dead skin cells.) Afterthoughts… Well, I’m slightly skeptical about the dead skin cells part claimed by Ginvera. I have a hunch that it’s just chemistry working its magic. I may probably try it on other surfaces like walls or mirrors soon. To give it some credit, I did see facial hairs attached to the white flakes. I like that I can also use it on other areas of my body too, besides the face. (A Honeyz girl has to be more than just a pretty face! :P) I expected the formula to be thicker and was shocked to see that it oozes out like water. This means I’ll have to swiftly apply it to my face before it drips off my hands everytime I use it. Not a huge fan of that. I like the texture of this exfoliator as compared to normal scrubs with beads. It feels gentler on the skin. Even though the process of rinsing off the liquid and flakes was quite a chore, the after-scrub feeling was great. The skin felt really clean, and it did not leave the tight feeling. In addition, my skin felt really smooth and refreshed! All in all, I think this exfoliator transcends many others in the market with its quality and affordability. So 4 Honeyz crowns! Finally, finish off your snow white regime with Amethystory’s whitening enhancer! Mineral Aqua Whitening Enhancer Directions After cleansing, pour an adequate amount onto your palm and gently pat onto face. Remember! It’s a skin sin to rub facial products onto face as that might create fine lines. Here’s a suggested routine for patting Amethystory’s whitening enhancer onto face. Pat on both sides of cheeks. Then the forehead and chin area. Followed by the nose bridge. Afterthoughts To be honest, I did not have high expectations of this product as the previous two disappointed me in one way or another. Lo and behold! It turned out to be a great hydrating agent. Even though the nature of my skin is oily, it still feels rather dry and tight after each facial wash. Upon applying the enhancer, my skin felt really soft and moisturized. It had this cooling sensation on my face. After using it for 3 days, my skin did look more even-toned but not radiant though. It still looks fairly dull. I’ll probably have to use it for a longer period of time. I think the enhancer can be used as a toner and a moisturizer as it rejuvenates and hydrates skin. If you’re looking for a lazy person’s beauty deal, this product would definitely be up your alley. I’m giving this 4.5 Honeyz crowns. Thank you The Sample Store for your wonderful sponsorship! Advertorial Strut your way down that aisle in style and elegance with Nail Indulgence De Beau’s bridal nail art. Why bridal nails, you ask? Because I attended three beautiful weddings this summer and was enlivened by that romantic atmosphere. 😛 Haha.. And then I was inspired! Wouldn’t you too? And this was how ‘Honeyz Gelish Nails Review – Bridal nails‘ was conceptualized. Please allow me to introduce you, the ‘STAR ★’ of this post! This is the color of the nails under natural lighting. This time, I’m going to present the nail art photo spread in a different fashion. It comes with a storyline! No no, not a wedding themed one. Just a simple pictorial story of a girl who met the love of her life (at Clarke Quay -> that was said with a dull tone). 😛 Oh wait! Before you jump into conclusions that this story is about me, I would like to clarify that the story is entirely fictional and the male lead is my good friend, YK. The photographs were beautifully taken so there will be minimal captions to keep distractions to a minimum. Here goes! At the bridge… Jul was waiting for JW (her sister). It’s been an hour and JW has not arrived. Jul decided to take a stroll while waiting for her sister to arrive. Jul: Ooh… That guy is cute! JW finally arrives after x hours. Jul: I saw this really cute guy! JW: Oooh.. Interesting! JW: I wanna meet him too At the cafe… Jul spot a familiar face at the cafe. Jul: It is that cute guy! Jul: Hey JW! There he is! JW: OMG! Where’s my make up kit?! MAKE UP! And he looks over. Jul blushes and JW got all excited. Jul: It’s the 21st century! I’ll make the first move! Jul: What do you think? JW: Go for it! Jul walks over. Jul: Hi! Jul: This is for you. Jul walks away immediately. YK: Hmm.. very bold but cute. YK: I shall reciprocate! Jul: OMG! JW: Woweee! Jul: Thank you. 🙂 The first date Jul waits for YK to arrive. This time the wait didn’t take X hours. The end. Credits Many many many thanks to YK and JW for starring in my post and YT for his amazing photography skills. You guys are the best! • Fashion Review: Lilies of e Field (LOEF) Ruched Jersey Dress and Modern Kimono Top

Lilies of e Field ups the fashion ante this fall… Modern Kimono Top (Click here to see it on LOEF) Afterthoughts… This is one of the few LOEF tops I loved right off the bat. The fancy lace details and alluring navy color certainly adds poise to the entire ensemble. However it’s pretty low cut, so I’ll suggest that you wear a tube top or stick on fashion tape to prevent wardrobe malfunctions. I highly recommend the Hollywood Fashion Tape! Hollywood Fashion Tape From the pictures, I guess it’s not too hard to realize that the top wrinkles rather easily. But I love the design! It is great for the ‘weekend shopping look’. (I can’t wait to wear it again and strut down Orchard Road in style. *wink*) Material is soft and comfortable and workmanship is pretty decent too. I found the occasional loose threads though but they are no big deal since you can easily snip them off. For its casual-meets-stylish look, I’m giving it 4 Honeyz crowns. Ruched Jersey Dress (Click here to view it on LOEF) Afterthoughts… LOEF’s clothes have been nothing short of impressive. And this pretty number certainly rides on that reputation too. Actually, it reminds me of Kim Kardeshian’s much heralded red carpet style. Fancy top and tight bottoms. Credits to realitytvmagazine.sheknows.com I like how the loose top balances the overall look with its tight bottom. However, the dress has a tendency to ride up but since it isn’t too short it does not bother me that much. It looks short in the photos because I tried to create the ruched look at the bottom on top of its already ruched design. The dress has no inner lining so a ‘no visible panty line (vpl)’ underwear is highly recommended to avoid unsightly panty lines. Workmanship is pretty good. No loose stitches. All in all, I’ll give this 3.5 Honeyz crowns out of 5. I thought the material could have been thicker. Models That’s the end of my LOEF fashion review for this week. More exciting stuff coming up next week! Have fun experimenting with those fashion ideas and I’ll talk to you soon! P.S. Click here to view ‘Behind-the-scenes’ photos. • Fashion Review: Lilies of e Field (LOEF) Tulip Bandage (Black) and Bellora II

Put style on a pedestal. Tulip Bandage in Black (Click here to view it on LOEF) Afterthoughts… As mentioned two posts ago, this season calls for the minimalist approach in fashion and probably with an additional dose of sultry appeal too. And this skirt fits the bill perfectly. The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this bandage skirt was ‘OMG it’s a Herve Leger’. I was instantly drawn to it and I thought its tulip feature makes it even more appealing. The quality is great too. Material is thick and workmanship is good. Surface is slightly rough though. The skirt fits beautifully. However, I thought it was a little short for my liking. But it doesn’t ride up, so this problem didn’t bother me for long. Great piece for party nights in the clubs but a tad short for the workplace. All in all, I give this 4.5 Honeyz crowns for its favourable price and quality. (FYI, it costs SGD26) Bellora II (Click here to view it on LOEF) Afterthoughts This fall, I’m subscribing to a more ladylike style and I thought this dress exhibits the right amount of femininity with its nude pink hue and flowy style. I absolutely love the duo-color sew-on sash. One side is black and the other is nude pink. Picture credits: Lilies of a Field LOEF’s model wore the dress in the above fashion with the sash tied in a large bow in front. Very cute. In our photoshoot, I decided to experiment another look by tying the bow at the back to demonstrate its versatility. This style hides the bulgy tummy pretty well! Workmanship and material is good. It is extremely comfortable to wear. But! The dress wrinkles rather easily. So thumbs down to that. This is THE alluring dress for that perfect date and also THE conservative dress that is appropriate for the workplace. Overall, an absolutely stunning piece and I’m giving it 4 Honeyz crowns. Not a fan of its wrinkle-prone fabric. Alright, fashion-forward femes, we’ve come to the end of this post. • Fashion Review: Lilies of e Field (LOEF) Oversized Shirt (Green) and Pleated Shorts (Pink)

Add panache to your fashion wardrobe with Lilies of e Field! Oversized Shirt in Green (Click here to see it on LOEF) Afterthoughts… This little pistachio definitely loves the camera! It looks gorgeous in every picture! I like that the material is very thin and soft – this makes it very comfortable. It is kind of like a relaxed fit shirt. Great for summery days! Simultaneously, the thinness of the material makes it really stylish. I always thought thick shirts are too serious – they belong to the workplace. Well, just a personal opinion, feel free to disagree. 🙂 Of course, the stylish thin fabric is tagged with a price – it is pretty sheer. Nude bra is recommended. If you still feel ‘overexposed’, wear a tube or petticoat top underneath. Don’t worry, these additions do not compromise on the style. It also wrinkles rather easily. But that doesn’t affect me much. In fact, I thought the wrinkled look makes me look even more stylish! All in all, I love the top, notwithstanding the little imperfections that I’ve highlighted. 4.5 Honeyz crowns! Pleated Shorts in Pink (Click here to see it on LOEF) Afterthoughts… Saunter into a party in this flirty number and I’m sure you’re gonna turn heads! Sometimes, I feel that I allow myself to fall victim to fashion trends and this essentially kills any goal to create my personal style. So I decided to pick something that is not exactly a hot favorite amongst fashionistas this time around. Many are into tight high waist shorts these days, and this pretty thing sure runs to the opposite side of the fashion spectrum with its low waist feature and flares. Surprisingly, I loved it! It hid my heavy bottom well and created the illusion of slimmer legs with its huge cutting. The pastel pink shade adds a tinge of femininity to the overall look too. However, the skorts (skirts + shorts) were slightly big for my 25 inches waist. I had to alter it slightly before the shoot. I like the elastic band at the back and I thought it is great for the ‘bloated days’. Material and workmanship is also pretty good. No unfavorable comments about them. 4 Honeyz crowns for this piece. You should get one too! (It’s selling like hot cakes in LOEF by the way.) Models In case you’re wondering where regular feature ‘Behind the scenes’ has gone to. I’ve uploaded the photos on Honeyz Facebook page instead. Check them out here ! Alright, that wraps it up for me. Keep that awesome style going! • Fashion Review: Lilies of e Field (LOEF)

Revisiting the minimalist style. I’ve discarded the accessories – the chains, the bangles, the head bands and the busy dresses and opted for a neat and simple look in this photo shoot (Well, except the grotesque shoes). Each look is made up of less than 5 items. Today’s attention is on Lilies of e field (LOEF) . Owner, HL, sent me some of LOEF’s prettiest outfits for my review. 😀 It was certainly elating to see a huge parcel of clothes sitting on my vanity table after a hard day at work. BUT! Be rest assured that the comments made in this review are 100% genuine as HL has insisted that I express my true thoughts of her clothes and that I should not hesitate to give unsatisfactory remarks should there be any. (Hence, this is not an advertorial.) She sent me eight pieces, and I’ve decided to review two in each post. So here goes. My first installment of Lilies of e Field Fashion Review. Military Chiffon Top in Tangerine (Click here to see it on LOEF) Afterthoughts… I love the way the top was given a military spin with the shoulder pads and gold buttons which evokes nothing but style. It exudes this professional image and yet the tangerine color makes it looks chic at the same time. A perfect blend of fun and glam! The workmanship is pretty decent too. Buttons were sewn on firmly. No loose threads found. However, the sheerness of the material threw me off a little. To top it off, the sides are pretty huge too so this means the bra may be visible. As such, I strongly advise you to wear a tube top. The fabric is also pretty rough but it does not make it uncomfortable to wear. All things considered, I’m giving this 4.5 Honeyz crowns. Even though I did not like the sheerness part, I thought the design and good workmanship have transcended this imperfection. What do you think? Studded O/S Tunic (Click here to see it on LOEF) Afterthoughts… JW rocked this dress! 😀 I’ve always loved tunics as they keep my bulgy tummy out of sight. And they are perfect for weekend shopping, seaside frolics and school. The material of this dress is cotton (like T-shirt material) so it crumples easily. However, it is very comfortable. I feel like I’m wearing an oversized T-shirt. So that offsets the crumpling part. 😛 Wear this as a dress or revamp the look by wearing it as a top. Two looks for the price of one! Yay! (If you have a longer torso, the tunic might be too short to wear as a dress.) Fashion tape is recommended as it is rather low cut. Material is slightly sheer too. So good to wear a tube top underneath. I’m really into 80s fashion now, so the studs on the dress works for me. Overall, very tasteful piece so 4 Honeyz crowns!
