Singapore Flyer’s FrightFest 2012 returns bigger and better!

This Halloween, visit Singapore Flyer’s FrightFest 2012 for boooo-tiful and delightful trick or treating fun!

The world’s largest Giant Observation Wheel continues to brand itself as an iconic lifestyle destination, as it rolls out the city district’s biggest Halloween extravaganza happening this October.

Following the success of the inaugural FrightFest last year, FrightFest 2012 @ Singapore Flyer returns as a three-week event. And for the first time, Singapore Polytechnic (SP) is working with the iconic attraction for the latest installment of FrightFest. A strong team of 17 second-year students from SP’s Diploma in Integrated Events and Project Management will transport guests to a movie-themed Halloween experience.

And I was very honored to be invited to attend the Media Preview of the FrightFest 2012 @ Singapore Flyer. I was very excited as last year’s FrightFest was a blast. So I invited my lovely parents and boyfriend to join me too!

The lineup of the evening included Halloween themed games, a ride on the Singapore Flyer, ghoulish treats at the Flyer Lounge and of course the staple of the evening – a walk through The Undead Forest.

This year, the Undead Forest is characterized into the Asian and Western zone. Over 20 scare crews will be lurking around to give guests a run for their lives. Characters inspired from popular horror movies/shows such as The Maid, The Walking Dead, Stephen King’s IT and Friday the 13th will be resurrected and waiting to spring a horror surprise to all within The Undead Forest.

Here’s a pictorial recount of my FrightFest adventure.

Let’s play ‘Spot the coffin’!

We played some Halloween-themed games before heading to the Flyer for our ride.

The Undead Forest, here we come!

Before we confronted our fears at The Undead Forest, we were pleasantly surprised by a flash mob that broke out near the entrance of the fright trail.

Here we go!

We flinched at every sound. Haha!

After our thrilling experience at the Undead forest, we head to the Flyer Lounge to calm our racing hearts by stuffing ourselves with delectable Halloween treats! Haha!
