  • Taylor Swift Visited This Singapore Restaurant Twice? | KOMA Singapore

Yes! That’s right. Apparently, Taylor Swift has visited KOMA SingaporeĀ twice when she was in town… and last week, I finally got to experience it for myself. I had the honour of trying the KOMA Singapore weekday lunch set, and wow! The space completely took my breath away. The moment you walk in, it almost feels like you’ve stepped onto a movie set. Everything about the place is dramatic, grand, and beautifully designed. My good friend Hyora actually invited me to lunch that day, which made the visit even more special. Since she doesn’t eat beef, we decided to go with chicken dishes as our main protein. We started with the Scallop SashimiĀ and Chicken Karaage. I’m a huge fan of scallops, so the sashimi was an instant win for me. It was fresh, sweet, and very clean tasting, exactly how good sashimi should be. The Chicken KaraageĀ was nicely crispy, though if I’m being honest, it was a little forgettable compared to the other dishes we had later. Next came the Truffled Fried RiceĀ and the Ginza Chicken. Now, I love truffle, so I might be slightly biased… but the truffled fried rice was a real treat. It was incredibly fragrant and packed with large chunks of mushrooms, which made every bite satisfying. The Ginza ChickenĀ was also quite nice - juicy, flavourful, and comforting. If I return next time (which I probably will), I would love to try the Pan-Seared SeabassĀ or the Barbecue Beef Short Rib. We finished the meal with their complimentary desserts. My absolute favourite was the coconut ice cream, which is served inside a real coconut husk. Such a cute and memorable touch! It tasted refreshing and was the perfect way to end the meal. The Space One thing I have to say - KOMA’s interiors are stunning. They even have private dining rooms, which honestly reminded me of something out of a James Bond movie. Very sleek, very dramatic, and perfect if you want a private meal with family or friends. There’s also a beautiful bar areaĀ where you can sit, dine, and enjoy drinks. The staff at the bar were incredibly friendly. In fact, I’d say they were even friendlier than the staff in the main dining area and since this is an honest review, I have to tell you the truth! When I was taking photos, they actually encouraged me to take more and told me to take my time, which was really nice of them. Would I Come Back? Absolutely. Between the stunning interiors, the delicious scallop sashimi, the incredibly fragrant truffled fried rice, and my fun little lunch date with Hyora , it was a really lovely experience. Next time, we should probably bring our husbands along for a double date. • What Chinese New Year Really Looks Like in Singapore | CNY Vlogs

This Chinese New Year felt a little special. We had a slightly longer run-up to the festivities this year, which meant more time to prep, plan, and really soak in the festive mood. For once, I managed to publish two vlogsĀ - one a preparation vlog, and the other the actual Chinese New Year celebrations where you’ll see all the unfiltered chaos of what celebrating CNY in Singapore is really like. Honestly, it’s probably quite similar to how things are celebrated in Malaysia too… except they have fireworks. Haha! Which, thankfully, I also managed to capture a little of in my prep vlog. This CNY preparation videoĀ captures the quieter moments, the behind-the-scenes bits, the small preparations, and the in-between scenes from most of the content we shared throughout the festive season. If you haven’t been to the newly revamped Chinese Garden at Jurong Lake, consider this a little sneak peek to see if it’s worth a visit. (Spoiler: it absolutely is.) ✨ And Then… The Real Celebrations Begin Now that you’ve seen the run-up, here comes the real deal. The actual Chinese New Year celebrations begin on CNY Eve, and from there things move pretty quickly. We visited more than five houses, did lo hei what felt like a thousand times, and had such an eventful Chinese New Year. 🧧✨ For those unfamiliar, Lo Hei (é±¼ē”Ÿ)Ā (also known as Yusheng) is a Chinese New Year tradition especially popular in Singapore and Malaysia. Everyone gathers around a colourful raw fish salad and tosses it high in the air while shouting auspicious wishes for prosperity and good luck. The higher you toss, the more luck you’re believed to bring for the year ahead. For this vlog, I decided to keep things very real and unfiltered, so you can experience Chinese New Year the way we do here in Singapore, the local conversations, the inside jokes, the laughter, and all the little chaotic moments that somehow make the festive season so special. You’ll see us enjoying steamboat, doing plenty of lo hei, and even trying something completely unexpected - a blind box steamboat, which turned out to be such a hilarious surprise. I’m really glad I managed to capture these memories not just for you guys, but also for my family and friends. I hope you enjoy this little glimpse into how we celebrate Chinese New Year! Wishing You a Wonderful Year Ahead Wishing all of you a beautiful Year of the Fire Horse, filled with momentum, good health, meaningful moments, and smooth roads ahead. šŸŽšŸ”„ Thank you for being here and sharing these memories with me. I also share how Singaporeans can visit Dhaka, including the visa process (hopefully helpful if you’re planning a trip!). Celebrating Valentine’s Day with my husband and mother-in-law was really special… honestly, I wish we could do this every year. šŸ˜† Hope you enjoy the vlog! • Hold Your Horses! We’re going back in time and hosting a Chinese New Year Giveaway! ć€Šę–°å¹“ę—§ę¢¦ć€‹

ć€Šę–°å¹“ę—§ę¢¦ć€‹Old dreams, new year. 🧧✨ Chinese New Year Eve has always been my favourite. Every year, Grandpa and Grandma would wake up early. Grandpa would play classic Chinese and CNY songs, the kind that sounded like they came straight from a gramophone. Grandma would already be in the kitchen, cooking away, while Grandpa chopped festive pork, duck, and roast chicken, happily humming along to his CNY tunes. My dad would be decorating the house, and everyone would joke that it looked like we’d accidentally stepped into Chinatown. My mum would paint her nails… and mine too then move on to preparing the red packets. That’s why I call this video 新幓旧梦 which literally means Old Dreams, New Year. A nostalgic CNY. This little video, sprinkled with a touch of magic dust, takes me back, just for a moment. This time, with my husband Bobby, who loves these old-school vibes just as much as I do (as you can probably tell from the video). Psst! A fun fact! We actually got together during Chinese New Year, so this video feels especially on point, a little quirky, and very us . I love that we’re now making new CNY memories together. Here are some photos from shooting this series āœØšŸ“ø Dessert photo overload incoming… šŸ°āœØ And yes!! The desserts featured in the video are soĀ delicious. We enjoyed these CNY goodies thoroughly, and here are our honest thoughts šŸ‘€šŸ‘‡ šŸ€„ 10pcs Mahjong Pineapple Tarts | $35.80 My favourite! Not overly sweet at all, and the mahjong tile fondant adds a fun, unexpected twist to the classic pineapple tart. Traditional — but with personality. šŸŽ Zodiac Macaron Tower in Gift Box | $168 This has to be my most Ā favourite. Every time I ask anyone what their favourite macaron brand in Singapore is, the answer is always Annabella Patisserie. And now — a whole tower of it, complete with the cutest zodiac animals. I’m obsessed šŸ˜ 🧁 12pc Lucky New Year Cupcakes in Gift Box | $78.80 Such a great festive gift. It instantly brightens up any dinner table and makes the perfect dessert after mala steamboat. šŸŒ¶ļøšŸ”„ (You need Ā something sweet after that.) A little CNY joy, shared with you ✨ If you liked what you saw in this post, I’m giving the little joys featured here to you . One lucky winner will receive: • $100 JOVET vouchers • $100 Annabella Patisserie vouchers • $100 Shunji Matsuo vouchers • $100 Yuan Zhong Siu Feng Shui Consultancy online shopping credits That’s $400 worth of vouchers Ā in total 🤯✨ šŸ‘‰ Click the button below to take part! Thank you for joining me on this Spring Festival adventure and for going back in time with me, even if just for a moment. Happy Chinese New Year! May the Year of the Fire HorseĀ bring you abundant good fortune, good health, and a year filled with meaningful moments!Ā āœØšŸŽ Your friend, Juliana

  • CNY Goodies Tasting: A Not-So-Square Toblerone Truffles Moment šŸ«šŸ§§

The CNY festivities have officially begun in the Stryker household. 🧧✨ And of course, we’re starting with one of my favourite rituals - CNY goodies tasting. This is not your ordinary chocolate moment. I was fortunate enough to be sent the all-new Toblerone Truffles, and I have to say - they’re pretty fun. Think honey and almond nougat filling, wrapped in a quirky angular shell that’s definitely not a square. Slightly confusing at first… but also very on brand and oddly delightful. šŸ˜‰ What surprised me most was the crunchy centre. It’s the kind that makes you reach for just one more without realising it. Now, full transparency: I’m very much a dark chocolate person, so this isn’t something I would personally buy all year round. But knowing my family and friends? This would disappear very quickly during CNY visits. It’s the kind of chocolate that’s easy to share, easy to enjoy, and perfect for festive snacking. Same iconic Toblerone flavour, but in a brand-new way to enjoy it. Safe to say, this one’s going onto our CNY goodies list. So tell me - are you a dark chocolate person or a milk chocolate person? Psst! You can find the Toblerone Truffles here: Your friend, Juliana

  • Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Meltdown Recovery Cream: Surviving CNY Without a Skin Meltdown

Chinese New Year can be fun… but also a little cray cray Ā šŸ§§šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø Between prepping content for my personal platforms and SingMedical , getting the house ready, and making sure the clinic is all set, I realised something familiar happens every year… Everything looks ready… except my skin. There were CNYs where the dĆ©cor was up, work was done, but my skin was clearly in meltdown mode - dry, stressed, and sensitive. This year, things might finally change for the better ✨ Meet Kiehl’s Meltdown Relief for skin emergencies. Ultra Facial Meltdown Recovery Cream Their Ultra Facial Meltdown Recovery CreamĀ has become my new skin saviour when things literally start to melt down. This lightweight, friction-free medicated creamĀ helps calm, repair, and comfort extremely dry, sensitive skin, even post-procedure. It’s formulated with: Colloidal OatmealĀ to soothe irritation and create a protective, bio-mimetic shield BisabololĀ to reduce redness and flare-ups DexpanthenolĀ to support skin barrier recovery and faster healing I’ve been using it every night, and I love how dewy my skin looks in the morning ✨ My skin usually gets quite dry because my face is directly exposed to the air-conditioning while I sleep. But lately, I’ve been waking up with skin that feels glowy, comfortable, and noticeably less dry. It’s one of those small changes that actually makes a difference and my skin really feels it. And of course, I’m still a huge fan of the all-time favouritesĀ too šŸ’™šŸ¤ Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream āœ”ļø 72-hour hydration āœ”ļø Suitable for all skin types (including sensitive skin) āœ”ļø Formulated with Glacial Glycoprotein & 4.5% Squalane — basically your skin’s daily drink of water This is a cult favourite, so I’ll definitely be bringing it along on trips to countries with drier weather. I’ve got a few trips coming up and I can’t wait to bring this baby with me. My skin’s already thanking me! Hehe! Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream āœ”ļø 24-hour hydration with an instant cooling effect āœ”ļø Helps keep skin shine-free, even in heat and humidity āœ”ļø Alcohol-free, non-comedogenic, and suitable for normal to oily skin My skin does get pretty oily at times, so this one stays on rotation! I actually use it every morning, because my skin tends to get oilier as the day goes on. Combination skin can be a little… indecisive šŸ˜… It never quite makes up its mind. This has become my perfect morning moisturiser, layered under sunscreen before I head out, lightweight, comfortable, and fuss-free. See what I mean? šŸ˜„ This CNY, my skin will be just fine. Haha! 🧧✨ When life gets hectic, our skin deserves an emergency responderĀ too. You agree? Shop the products here ✨ Your friend, Juliana

  • From Wicked For Good to Beauty and the Beast Musical | A Magical Goodbye to 2025 and Hello 2026!

I have been changed for good. šŸ’šāœØ I watched Wicked: For Good and was surprised by how many parallels it has to our everyday lives. Words get misinterpreted, and people judge too quickly. Sometimes, a single misunderstanding can completely change the course of someone’s life. Truly… art imitating life. And of course, I was completely in awe of the friendship between Elphaba and Glinda. Their love and loyalty made me tear up so many times. Long live girlhood. ✨ Anyway, here’s Bobby and me at the Wicked premiere at Universal Studios Singapore (USS) ! We had so much fun exploring the installations, checking out the merch, and even catching a glimpse of the stars. There was a mishap that night (as many of you probably already know), so we didn’t get any close-up moments with the cast. But we’re just grateful that everyone was safe and we still had an amazing time nonetheless. Beyond Wicked, I also explored Orchard Road’s Christmas lights, watched the Beauty and the Beast Musical at MBS, and even caught the moment when the Christmas decorations came down. šŸŽ„ Watch the vlog for our wickedly fun adventure! A gentle goodbye to the festive season, and a brand new year begins. ✨ Happy New Year! Your friend, Juliana

  • Flying Santa, Christmas Markets & the Most Joyful Christmas We’ve Ever Had šŸŽ„āœØ Happy 2026!

Sometimes, it’s these simple, magical moments that stay with you the longest. The Christmas markets are still open as of today, so if you’re wondering whether they’re worth visiting in the next few days, this vlog will help you sleigh your decision āœØšŸ˜‰ šŸŽ„ Last vlog of the year!! Wrapping up this year with a full heart and stepping into the next one with fresh sparkle. Happy 2026 belles and beaus! āœØšŸ„‚ Your friend, Juliana

  • A Letter to Santa (And a Christmas Giveaway)

I wrote a letter to Santa… and you wouldn’t believe what happened next. šŸ„¹šŸŽ… Watch the video! Did you see Santa’s surprise? šŸ¤ It’s 27 December today, just four days before we say goodbye to 2025 and I’ve been sitting with a lot of thoughts about this year. 2025 started strong. Almost revenge-strong, in a good way. We went on three trips within the first five months, after not travelling for a very long time. If you’ve been following my journey, you might know that last year, we went through an extremely rough patch. We almost lost everything we had built. What pulled us through was sheer will, belief, and a whole lot of hard work. So this year, we thought the worst was over. We thought it was time to simply build. But it turned out to be… a different kind of rough. Last year felt like war. Pure survival mode, sink or swim, no time to think, only move. This year, things largely stabilised… and yet, a new set of challenges appeared. And that surprised me. Suddenly, even the smallest thing could topple team morale or shake the business. I remember learning history in school and never quite understanding why problems still existed after wars ended. I always thought the biggest struggles would be over once peace arrived. I studied mostly British history, and for a long time, I couldn’t understand why Winston Churchill, a leader so vital during wartime was voted out once peace returned. Now I get it. When there’s peace, there’s space. And with space comes reflection. And with reflection, uncertainty can grow louder. That pretty much sums up my entrepreneurial journey this year. I haven’t given up. I’m still planting seeds, quietly and patiently, hoping that next year will be kinder, stronger, and more aligned. So this holiday season, I decided to wind down and do something joyful. I wrote to Santa, wishing for peace, happiness, and clarity. And I finally did something I’ve always wanted to do. ✨ A full Hollywood glam shoot at my vanity area ✨ A gorgeous dress. Martini glasses in tow. And of course, my loving husband by my side.... šŸ–¤šŸø The final three months of this year have been a whirlwind, from Halloween, to launching my new blog, straight through to Christmas content and I just want to say thank you. Thank you for being here. For the kind messages, the encouragement, and the quiet support you may not even realise you give me. And because this season is about giving, I wanted to share a little joy with you too ✨ You saw how Santa teamed up with two of my favourite brands Jovet and GiveFun to surprise me with the most magical Christmas gift… Well, guess what? šŸŽ…āœØ The big guy wants to gift you Ā the same surprise too āœØšŸŽ… šŸŽ One lucky winner will receive: • $100 JOVET vouchers • $100 GiveFun vouchers Perfect for looking fabulous and Ā dressing up your space in the most fun, festive way šŸŽ„āœØ Tap the button below to join the giveaway. Happy holidays, belles and beaus. Bonne chance! šŸ¤ With love, Juliana

  • We Accidentally Filmed a Disney Commercial?! 😭✨ | Vlogmas | Christmas in Jewel Changi Airport

Let’s set sail… 🚢✨ My first Vlogmas video of 2025 is finally up, and this one truly holds a special place in my heart. We stepped into the Disney Cruise Line Christmas Adventure at Changi Airport and Jewel Changi Airport, where everything felt like it was wrapped in pure Disney magic. Come spend a day with me as I said hello to Captain Mickey and his friends, unexpectedly took part in the filming of a Disney Cruise Line commercial, and shared a quiet little glimpse of my Christmas decorating at home. šŸŽ„ I felt so emotional while editing this and somewhere along the way, I quietly booked my Disney Cruise too 🄹🚢 We’ll be sailing on my birthday next year… and my heart is still so full just thinking about it šŸ¤ Hope you guys are having an awesome pre-Christmas weekend too! āœØšŸŽ„ Your friend, Juliana
