Yes! That’s right.
Apparently, Taylor Swift has visited KOMA Singapore twice when she was in town… and last week, I finally got to experience it for myself.
I had the honour of trying the KOMA Singapore weekday lunch set, and wow! The space completely took my breath away. The moment you walk in, it almost feels like you’ve stepped onto a movie set. Everything about the place is dramatic, grand, and beautifully designed.

My good friend Hyora actually invited me to lunch that day, which made the visit even more special. Since she doesn’t eat beef, we decided to go with chicken dishes as our main protein.

We started with the Scallop Sashimi and Chicken Karaage.

I’m a huge fan of scallops, so the sashimi was an instant win for me. It was fresh, sweet, and very clean tasting, exactly how good sashimi should be.
The Chicken Karaage was nicely crispy, though if I’m being honest, it was a little forgettable compared to the other dishes we had later.
Next came the Truffled Fried Rice and the Ginza Chicken.

Now, I love truffle, so I might be slightly biased… but the truffled fried rice was a real treat. It was incredibly fragrant and packed with large chunks of mushrooms, which made every bite satisfying.
The Ginza Chicken was also quite nice - juicy, flavourful, and comforting.
If I return next time (which I probably will), I would love to try the Pan-Seared Seabass or the Barbecue Beef Short Rib.
We finished the meal with their complimentary desserts.

My absolute favourite was the coconut ice cream, which is served inside a real coconut husk. Such a cute and memorable touch! It tasted refreshing and was the perfect way to end the meal.

The Space
One thing I have to say - KOMA’s interiors are stunning.
They even have private dining rooms, which honestly reminded me of something out of a James Bond movie. Very sleek, very dramatic, and perfect if you want a private meal with family or friends.

There’s also a beautiful bar area where you can sit, dine, and enjoy drinks. The staff at the bar were incredibly friendly. In fact, I’d say they were even friendlier than the staff in the main dining area and since this is an honest review, I have to tell you the truth! When I was taking photos, they actually encouraged me to take more and told me to take my time, which was really nice of them.

Would I Come Back?
Absolutely.
Between the stunning interiors, the delicious scallop sashimi, the incredibly fragrant truffled fried rice, and my fun little lunch date with Hyora, it was a really lovely experience.
Next time, we should probably bring our husbands along for a double date. Haha!
