Laneige adds a huge feather to their already impressive beauty cap with their enhanced Water Bank Series and newly launched Snow BB products!
A few beautiful weeks ago, I was given the wonderful opportunity to attend Laneigeâs Makeup Atelier.
OMG!
Before the esteemed invitation, I was already a âdevoteeâ of Korean make up and leading Korean cosmetic brand, Laneige. Iâm a huge fan of their Pink Gradation Blush Palette.
So of course I accepted their invitation without hesitation.
I arrived Fairmont Hotel on a lovely Sunday morning for the event. Even though I was running late, I tried to keep my poise by entering the posh and quiet hotel in a slow and graceful manner.
Well, not for long.
The Indiana Room (where the atelier was held) was filled with tables of Laneige Water Bank skincare and Water Supreme Makeup products!
So the âgraceful walkâ immediately transformed into hasty footsteps and some silly giggling. đ
Laneigeâs Marketing Manager Isabelle has already began her presentation by the time I arrived.
So I hurried to my assigned seat.
The tables were arranged in a cluster seating manner and each seat was nicely presented with a tiffany blue mirror, a goodie bag (with the following goodies) and a vanity kit of kleenex tissues and cotton pads.
Only later did I realize, the vanity kit was meant for this!!!
To remove my makeup.
Isabelle then hands the stage over to AmorePacific makeup artist Yuji who later gave us some life changing beauty and makeup tips. Read on to find out!

Yuji commenced the session by introducing the Laneige ESTEEM regimen â it recommends that we prep our face for makeup with (in this sequence) toner, essence, emulsion, moisturizer and eye cream.
Isabelle mentioned earlier in her presentation that the Koreans believe that it is important to apply essence and emulsion before the moisturizer because they help to lock in the moisture by penetrating deep into the skin. Moisturizers only provide moisture on the surface of the skin.

Now begin your regimen with the Water Bank Essence (SGD65) that promises to douse skin with ample moisture and keep it energized with a smooth texture.

Niacinamide helps for brightened skin tone with keratin care. Ginger extracts controls excess sebum and skin troubles while balancing oil-moisture for oily skin.
Now hydrate your skin with Water Bank Gel Cream.
A gel-type moisture cream that soothes the skin with a cool, invigorating texture.

Iâm not a huge fan of moisturizers that are too greasy on the skin so the smooth and non-oily texture of the gel cream definitely won me over.
Finally, revitalize the skina round your eyes with the Water bank Eye Gel Cream (SGD49).
Gel-type eye cream for moisturized and revitalized eye area to relieve puffiness and reduce dark eye circles.
Key features:
Specially patented ingredients, HyperAqua L and Aquâative, for excellent hydration and long-lasting moisturization in dry environments.
Ginkgo leaf extracts that promote blood circulation and prevent damage caused by free radicals in cells to reduce dark circles and to revitalize the eye area.

Apply the eye cream by massaging it into your face. This promotes blood circulation and instantly brightens the area around your peepers.
After performing all the important steps in the ESTEEM regimen, we moved on to makeup (my most favorite part).

Apply onto puff and smooth along the texture of skin. Then, pat to increase adherence. Apply another layer to improve coverage.
This is me after applying it.
I know you canât see this from my absurdly blurred photo but the coverage of the Snow BB Soothing Cushion is almost non-existent. This is because Koreans prefer the ânatural and light lookâ so most of their foundations tend to fall short in the coverage department.
So if youâre thinking of hiding those zits and marks, use this with a concealer.
We were each given a set of travel sized brushes to apply our makeup during the atelier. Since Iâm always on the go, this travel set comes in handy â no more lugging heavy makeup tools around. đ
