“I’m not crazy, my reality is just different from yours.” – The Cheshire Cat
But I’m kinda going bonkers here. Look what just arrived in the mail!
The perfect ‘unbirthday’ present from Urban Decay! Haha! The Disney geek in me is freaking out!
This season, Urban Decay transports us back to Wonderland with their latest Alice In Wonderland Collection, inspired by none other than Disney’s new fantasy adventure Alice Through the Looking Glass, hitting theaters May 27th!
Their last collaboration, The Book of Shadows eyeshadow palette culminated with phenomenal success, almost breaking the internet with their whimsical take on the fairytale looks.
The UD team is back with a vengeance, expanding their offerings with five new limited edition lipsticks and 20 brand new shades, arranged in columns by character in an intricately designed, collectible palette.
The beautiful mix of subtle and loud, poppy colors is going to open your imagination and challenge your inner makeup artist.
I regretfully missed their original Alice palette so this new line certainly made up for it. I’m pretty sure they are gonna fly off the shelves faster than you can say ” Off with their heads”! Haha!
Now scroll down for your first peek at the new Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass Collection!

Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass Eyeshadow Palette
The palette features an interesting kaleidoscopic interpretation of flowers and butterflies, in keeping with the garden fantasy element of the fairytale.
Occasionally, you may also spot your favorite quotes from the film in the palette such as these ones below!
“We’re all mad here.”
When you lift the lid and open up these little doors, a three-dimensional butterfly springs up! Oh gosh! Is that the Blue Catepillar from the fairytale?
“Who…. R…. U…?”
Sorry, I can’t resist. 😛
Pull the handle and and it’ll reveal this little drawer of treasures. Psst! They are arranged by character in columns from left to right: Alice, Mad Hatter, Mirana, Iracebeth and Time.
The previous Book Of Shadows palette came packaged with a mini vial of the brand’s iconic Primer Potion and two mini eye pencils. This new Alice Through the Looking Glass palette replaced them with four new shades and a double-ended brush instead.
I’m happy with this new combination since the pigment of the eyeshadows already seem very potent so I don’t really need a primer to bring out the hue.
This collection features UD’s Pigment Infusion System, that gives every shade a velvety texture, rich color and high staying power.
Now let’s take a closer look at the eyeshadows!
Alice
Mad Hatter
Mirama, The White Queen
Iracebeth, The Red Queen
Time
(A peculiar creature who is part human, part clock)
So what do you think?
To help you complete the fairytale look, the collection also comes with five matching limited edition lipsticks, inspired by the key characters of the film.
The lipstick variants took their cues from the enthralling characteristics of Alice, Mad Hatter, Mirana, Iracebeth and Time. Now let’s get up close with these gorgeous colors!
Iracebeth
You may have noticed the precipitation of fat globules on the lipstick bullet. It’s probably due to the steamy heat from our hot climate but don’t fret! The color remained vibrant and did not melt even as I swatched it on my arm.
The Mad Hatter Lipstick also had some globule-like sightings but the application felt the same, it was smooth and easy to apply. I actually destroyed it slightly in my excitement to try out the lipstick quickly. Nonetheless, the color is still very pretty!
Mad Hatter
On first glide, the color didn’t seem as intense as Iracebeth’s, but it’s rather buildable. It starts off as a sheer tint of purple and gradually intensifies into a bright purple finish with repeated strokes.
I actually prefer this formula as it allows me to wear a more subtle version of this shade for an edgier everyday look.
Alice
Time
Mirana
So what do you think of Urban Decay’s Alice 2.0 collection? Do you like the bold bursts of colors?

To celebrate the launch of this Alice in Wonderland makeup sequel, Urban Decay held an uber cool launch party at Disneyland in total Wonderland style! Think Mad Hatter hats and tea party desserts! Since I missed out on all the fun, I decided to host my very own Mad Hatter Tea Party in my studio next week with the guests of honour, my Urban Decay Through the Looking Glass makeup collection!
More #UDWonderland makeovers and editorials coming right up so please continue to watch this space!
Talk about attention to detail! Urban Decay even included this unbelievably cool hard cover Lewis Carroll storybook with their press kit! The perfect magical addition to my Disney library.
If you’ve a fervent desire for all things Disney and fairytale too, you’re gonna love everything about this new palette and lipstick range. The attention that went into the packaging is astounding and of course, the colours are also as fanciful as the Cheshire Cat’s mane.
The Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass Palette (USD $60) and Lipsticks (USD $18 each) will be available on May 1st 2016 online at Urban Decay and also at Sephora, Macy’s, Ulta, and Beauty.com.
