Everything Singaporeans Got Wrong About Batam

That includes me, haha! I used to go to Batam with my grandparents. The routine was always the same -shop, eat, and avoid the heat, because anything fun meant sweating outdoors. Somewhere along the way, I just stopped going.


So if you're like me and assumed pretty photos needed a Greece budget, go karting meant melting in the sun, and supermarkets only stocked local brands, this trip proved us both wrong. Everything I thought I would have to hop between ten places for, I did under one roof, in full aircon.


Batam has been holding out on us this whole time.
