Were I to sum up the Rachel K Skincare Launch Party in a few words, it would be this:
A sizzling evening of mindless laughter with beauty lovers and leading social media personnel set against the tranquil backdrop of a nature reserve at Spa Boutique!
Yes, the innovation never stops!
After the resounding success of their cosmetics line, budding young beauty brand, Rachel K is back to conquer the beauty scene with their latest skincare range ‘See the Difference’.
This time Rachel Kum (founder of Rachel K Cosmetics and Miss Singapore Universe 2009) employs cutting edge technology and the most advanced anti-ageing ingredients that includes Swiss Apple Stem Cell extract to help ordinary girls like us achieve ‘beauty queen’ complexion!
And to celebrate the birth of this new skincare range, Rachel K held a product launch party at urban sanctuary, Spa Boutique.
I attended the event in my capacity as a review blogger.
You bet that I was both happy and honored when I received this stylish invitation.
Upon arrival, I was promptly greeted by the friendly beauty queen, Rachel Kum herself!
Yes. Despite being very busy with the organization of the event and logistics, she still made time to personally welcome us to the event and even made small talk with some of us.
In the flesh, she is even more beautiful, slim and radiant than she appears in print ads. But what resonated most with me was her friendly and humble personality and her bright warm smiles.
So here I am with Elrica.
Well, it is definitely not the best photo we had taken that night.
My camera (Lumix GF2) does not capture that well at night. Its so-called DSLR properties do not help either.
So tried for another shot with flash this time.
Hmm.. not too bad.
We met the other invitees and took photos while waiting for the rest of the guests to arrive.

Then the party was kick-started by Lush 99.5FM DJ, Angelique Teo’s sweet introduction of the Rachel K brand and a chic selection of yummylicious canapes and candy pop sticks.

Next, we were wowed by a product demonstration by Youtube make-up guru Sarah Chaudhry.
She prepped the model’s face for makeup with products from the Rachel K skincare line and finished off the process with the Radiance Illuminator ‘Lotus Stem Cell’ Hydrogel Mask.

After 15 minutes, the mask was removed and it revealed a more radiant complexion.
Then Sarah perked up the model’s look with Rachel K cosmetics.
After the interesting and informative product demo, we all took turns to take photos with Rachel.

The penultimate segment of the party was a lucky draw. Winners of the lucky draw got to take photos with Rachel while wearing her Miss Universe crown!
Nope, they did not get to keep the crown. Still, it was a great privilege, don’t you think?
