PAssionArts Month 2013 at Moulmein Kallang and Whampoa – Immerse yourself in the local Art sce

My first encounter with art was when my mom enrolled me in a Mongolian dance class when I was four years old. Despite the physically demanding training sessions, I fell in love with the strong yet elegant dance moves as well as the beautiful notes of the Mongolian folk music that to me, showed a delicate side of the Mongolian people and their culture. Two decades and a lifetime later, I’m still intrigued. 🙂

What about you? What is your earliest experience with art?

If you haven’t had one, then you must read today’s post about the PAssionArts Month 2013 which is all about bringing people together, creating the spark to ignite their passions for the Arts. May it be musical performances, circus arts, ceramic art making or Jazz bands performances.

Now click to enter the realm of art and of course, discover your inner artist! “Everyone can make a difference (M.A.D), and be an artist, or musician in their own way, as long as they have a PAssion for the arts”.

Life is a journey, take a break and let Arts take the centre stage this 13th and 14th April at Whampoa and Jalan Besar!

In line with the PAssion Arts Month festivities, Whampoa is doing their part to reach out to the needy within the community. Along with the stellar musical performances, there will also be a ceramic and visual art charity flea market. All proceeds will be donated back to the community through various VWOs, and needy households. This event is indeed a treat for the eyes, as well as a way to give something back to the community.
