My dear friends and loved ones,
After a last minute flurry of activity, with votes coming in left, right and centre, pushing my final vote count to an unimaginable 1101, I still only managed to finish in second place.
As I write this, I’m wiping away a tear from my eye. Not a tear of sorrow, but a tear of joy and gratitude.
I never in my wildest dreams thought I’d be able to garner more than a handful of votes, never mind enough votes to make me a serious contender for the top spot. No matter what happens, what the outcome, I know that I’m truly the luckiest gal in the world. Whee!
Waking up everyday to see your encouraging messages gave me the strength and courage to keep going, even when it seemed like there was no hope. But dear friends, hope is not lost. With your support, I was able to pour my heart and soul into two posts which were submitted to the judges for their consideration.
