I’m bitten by the fashion bug again!
I’ve been working for some time now and office wear has indubitably become an essential to me.
I used to think it’s not easy to look corporate and stylish at the same time.
Well, I’m definitely holding a different view now with the surge in online fashion stores that focus on corporate clothing. They not only sell quality clothes but also provide great ideas and tips on corporate fashion.
These blog shops have created a new shopping culture for OLs (office lady) like us and have certainly made our shopping experience a more convenient and pleasant one.
One such blogshop is Corporate LookBook (Corporate LookBook’s website).
I was introduced to them by a friend a month ago and was pretty impressed with the vast array of designs of clothes in their store.
So there you go. A fashion review on Corporate LookBook.
But! I’m going to try something different this time.
Instead of diving straight into the review, I will show you ladies ‘The Making of the Honeyz Fashion Spread’ first.
Enjoy!
And TADA!
BIG head!
FYI, this photo was not doctored.
Haha… I guess you’re tired of all this silliness. Alright, moving on to the review.
Now, please allow me to present you ‘Honeyz Review: Corporate LookBook’.
Katelyn Pants

Katelyn Pants
These pants have definitely become my closet staple. You can easily pair it with a tee for a casual look and a blazer for a more serious look. How versatile is that?!
I like that the pants hug my calves snugly to give the illusion of slimmer legs. It comes with a complimentary brown belt (as seen in the photos).
I also adore the interior lace lining. Subtle but tasteful.
The pants is also made of stretchy material and it’s ruched at the back.
I would give the pants a 9 out of 10. One demerit point for its loosely sewn button. Otherwise it’s a great piece and definitely value for money.
Tyla Chiffon Dress

Love the juxtaposition of JW and me in the same dress!
JW is standing at 153cm while I’m 161cm.
FYI, we did not have two of this dress. See below.
Tyla Chiffon Dress
This pretty one actually comes with a matching sash as seen on CLB’s website which I did not wear in the shoot.
The material of this dress is thin but substantial. It’s not sheer at all. I like that it’s soft and comfortable. However, I thought the workmanship of this dress pales in comparison to the pants and the polka dots top that I’m going to review later. I found some loose threads on the rose petals details.
The length of this dress is 33.5 inches. Since it’s catered for the workplace, I thought that is pretty reasonable. You can always shorten it with a waist belt for afterwork parties for a more fun and flirty look.
All in all, I think this dress exudes the right amount of sophistication and fun. So 7 out of 10!
Charlotte Polka Dots Top

Charlotte Polka Dots Top
I love the material and the workmanship of this top. Fabric is fantastic and not sheer at all.
Buttons were also sewn on firmly.
This is the top in normal light.
I love this top especially the puffed sleeves. I’ve worn it umpteen times now, for work and play.
Seriously, I’m giving this top a 10 out of 10. Great material, design and workmanship. This pretty much sums it up.

Disclaimer: I know I’m going to sound like a broken record but I would like to emphasize again that Honeyz fashion reviews are NOT advertorial posts. I do not endorse any of those brands featured. Rather, I’m trying to show you how normal girls (girls with non-supermodel statures) look like in clothing from these famous boutiques. This is to aid you in making informed purchase decisions when it comes to updating your fashion wardrobe. 🙂
