Beauty Review: Vanity Trove January

Sponsored Review

Whet your beauty appetite with these yummylicious products from the January edition of Vanity Trove!

Vanity Trove has returned for another wonderful month of beauty, wellness and surprises!

Here’s what the January trove has in store for us.

Wait for it…

Tadah!

The first item that caught my eye was this pretty little booklet that was titled Vanity Jan 2013 Issue.

I gaped as I flipped through the thick pages. It’s absolutely divine I tell you! It contains all the info about the products in the trove including their prices and places of availability. The booklet also makes a great boredom buster on the train as it provides mini articles on beauty and wellness related topics – like a pocket lifestyle magazine!

Everyone loves discounts!

Previously, discount coupons in the trove were given separately in the form of vouchers and brochures. In the Jan edition, Vanity Trove reorganized the vouchers and printed them on the Vanity Jan 2013 Issue with dotted tear lines for our convenience. Thumbs up to that!

Guess what? You ladies can also view the Vanity Trove magazine without subscribing to VT.

Of course, besides the exciting Vanity Jan 2013 Issue, the January trove also contains lovely beauty products that promises to set our beauty hearts aflutter.

Here’s the rundown.

My Beauty Diary (SGD16.90 for 10-piece set)

These soothing facial masks have become a favorite weekly ritual for those who crave a luxurious treat at an affordable price. The masks come in pampering varieties to suit different skin care needs. Each sheet mask is made from eco-friendly plant fibres and has a soft and unique three-layered structure that is perfectly plush and comfortable.

Available at Guardian, Sasa and Watsons.

Bifesta Makeup Remover (SGD16.90)

Bifesta makes removing a full face of makeup convenient and easy! This water based makeup remover is gentle and yet powerful enough to get rid of the most stubborn makeup including waterproof mascara. This non sticky and non oily formula won’t clog your pores and leaves your skin feeling refreshed.

Available at Watsons, Guardian, Sasa, Meidi-Yaand Nishino Pharmacy.

Astalift Lotion (SGD64 for 150ml)

Quench thirsty skin with the rich and pampering ASTALIFT lotion, which prepares your skin for the benefits of the Astalift Essence or Emulsion. Contains super antioxidant Astaxanthin, three different types of collagens to enhance hydration and Hyluronan to help the skin retain moisture.

Available at #02-04 The Centrepoint.

Yuskin A Hand Cream (SGD14.90)

A rich, gentle and moisturizing cream that relieves dry skin. This top-selling moisturizer in Japan is well-loved for its light and non-greasy application. It contains Vitamin E and Glycyrrhetinic Acid to heal chapped skin. There are no steroids, artificial coloring or preservatives.

Albion Skin Conditioner Essential (SGD82 for 165ml and SGD140 for 330ml)

Stress, UV rays, pollution can wreck havoc on healthy skin. When your skin needs tender loving care, soothe it with Albion skin conditioner. This toner is for sensitive skin, and it contains Coix lacryma-jobi (Job’s tears) and is rich in ingredients that enhance skin’s self-recuperative capacity and restores metabolic rhythm.

Available at Albion’s exclusive flagship counter at Takashimaya, Cosmetics Department Level One.

The January trove also enclosed a couple of edible beauty products that seek to satisfy and beautify!

Slim Secret Bars (SGD3.90 each)

Get an energy boost with the Slim Secrets! This yummy snack bar comes in tempting flavors and contains NeOppuntia, an antioxidant derived from the prickly Pear Cactus that reduces fat absorption naturally. This snacking sensation is only 123 calories per serve with generous protein content to keep you going.

Available at Cold Storage, Marketplace, GNC and www.esslivstore.com. I’m actually munching on the Choc Caramel snack bar as I’m typing this. I must say I really love its crunchy texture and chocolatey taste! It’s a great way to curb the sweet tooth without adding those annoying pounds. Afternoon tea has never been better!

Truelife Lingzhi Immunity (SGD58.80)

This is perfect when you are feeling frazzled by hectic schedules or just looking to improve your general well-being. A delicious concentrated health supplement drink for folks of all ages.
