Here’s what I think about it…
Recent years, sleeping masks (aka overnight leave-on masks) and cellulose mask sheets have been sweeping the beauty world so I’ve also discarded my traditional rinse-off facial masks and replaced them with these new masks. And now I decided to give rinse-off masks a whirl again with this Mineral Yogurt Mask.
Using the Amethystory Mineral Yogurt Mask felt like ‘going back to the basics’ for me. I was instantly reminded of my teen years – when I first discovered skincare and facial masks. 😛
On the first glide across my cheeks, I was greeted by a sweet aroma of yogurt and oat. There’s no oat in the ingredients by the way. I just thought it smelled like it. The texture was light and smooth so application was pretty easy.
The mask comes in a tub so for hygiene reasons, I highly recommend you to apply the mask with a spatula.
Besides being an apt moisturizer, yogurt is also well-liked for being an acne exterminator and sunburn reliever. I don’t have acne at the moment so this yogurt mask functions well as a hydrating agent. As for sunburns, I look forward to bringing it on my beach holidays to soothe any sunburn or ward off free-radical damage.
