From attending the Fall Guy movie premiere (with real stuntmen!) to getting the sweetest Disney-themed surprise party from my friends - my birthday week was packed with moments that made me feel so lucky.   I indulged in a little retail therapy at Jovet, celebrated with loved ones, and even unwrapped a present from my husband that I’ve been saving for all year. Amidst all the fun, I took a moment to reflect on the past year - growth, acceptance, and rethinking my priorities. This year feels different, and I’m ready to embrace the unexpected with intention. 中秋节快乐！ When I was a kid, aside from Chinese New Year, the Mid-Autumn Festival was another traditional celebration I always looked forward to. That’s when we’d play with lanterns alongside the neighbours, while my grandma and mum would chat with them over homemade mooncakes and tea, watching us play. One of my fondest memories was the informal lantern competition, where we’d stroll through the streets in the evening, admiring the different lanterns everyone was carrying. It was so exciting, especially the toy lanterns that played music! Haha! These days, while I don’t carry lanterns anymore, mooncakes are still a staple in our household. And now that I’m older, tea has become part of the tradition too. I finally did it! After balloting for NDP tickets, I can’t believe I actually got them! My hair wizards at Shunji Matsuo are back in action! This time, we’re not just working on the hair colour - texture is key! So I spent a lot of time at the salon focusing on treatments and using the right products, like these gems from Voyage Cosmetics. I’ve been diligently using them every day, and let me tell you, the shampoo smells divine! After shampooing, I use the treatment to soften and moisturize my locks, then apply the leave-in treatment for extra moisture and styling.
