- From Steak Lover to Kale Convert at Cultivate, Maxwell Reserve
Wrapped up romantic February with my dearest Angie and Audrey, who also took these lovely shots for me! We spent the afternoon at Cultivate Cafe , a plant-based café inside Maxwell Reserve that honestly looks like it belongs in Beauty and the Beast. Think British library vibes, cozy corners, and so many photo-worthy spots. Thank you Angie for introducing this gorgeous place to me! Now I’m usually a steak-loving carnivore 🙈, but the food here really surprised me! The Pad Thai with baked tofu was sooo good, and those crispy kale leaves? Honestly better than chips. Even the desserts were a total win. Everything’s vegan, gluten-free, and made with organic ingredients from small farms but it doesn’t feel overly “clean,” just super flavourful. Good food, dreamy ambience, and lovely service, what’s not to love? I’ll definitely be back! Your friend, Juliana
- I Tried EstheGlow by BEAUTÉSCIENCE -Here’s What Happened
On Wednesdays, we glow in pink! If you’ve followed my beauty journey with Celevenus Wellness & Aesthetic Clinic , you’ll know it’s not just about what goes on the skin but what goes in, too. I’m super prone to freckles and pigmentation (like, sun = instant freckle), so Celevenus recommended this skin-loving supplement packed with glutathione, L-cysteine, and EstheWhite Tomato extract. Think antioxidants, hydration, and even a little UV protection from within! Yes, you heard that right - some ingredients like EstheWhite Tomato extract have been shown to offer mild internal UV protection by helping your skin defend itself against oxidative stress caused by sun exposure. It’s not a replacement for sunscreen, but it gives your skin an extra line of defense from the inside out. Plus, it’s vegetarian-friendly and proudly made in Singapore! 🇸🇬💪 Here's my skin, no filters, just many hours of makeup wear and a lot of glow. 🙈 You can purchase these supplements directly from Celevenus Wellness & Aesthetic Clinic if you’d like to give it a go! Hope this was useful for you!! Happy Wednesday! Your friend, Juliana
- Living the Fairytale at Disneyland Hotel - Thanks to Jovet!
Looking out to the ocean, I realised… it’s been a while since we’ve had such a calm, serene afternoon. Feeling incredibly grateful for my husband, my family, our amazing SingMedical team, my dear friends… and especially Angie, who popped by my clinic twice before our flight just to pass me these gorgeous outfits! 🥹 This one’s from her Jovet Isetan Scotts branch, and I’m absolutely obsessed. Thanks to her, I’ve felt confident and put-together every single day on this trip. The dress I’m wearing is comfortable, flattering, and perfect for the season and setting - the fabric feels luxurious, cinches at the waist in all the right places, and honestly… I feel like a Disney princess in it. 👑✨ Psst! Jovet's Spring collection at TANGS is out now too and it’s on another level. Fresh, flattering, and so easy to style. Angie poured her heart into these pieces, and it truly shows in every detail. Go check it out! You’ll fall in love. 💐 Happy shopping! 💕 Your friend, Juliana

- Toast and Cheers: A Day In Snow White’s Magic Forest
“Some day I’ll find my love, Someone to call my own, and I’ll know him the moment we meet, For my heart will be skipping a beat.” – Snow White Snow White’s optimism and her ability to handle conundrums with great aplomb always fascinates me. Hence, I was dead sure I wanted an entire wedding cabana dedicated to her story and spirit. Haha! So we took a page from Disney’s playbook and created our very own Snow White Magic Forest with luscious red apples, gold mirror frames and fine fairytale papel picados. We also shot a pre-wedding photo series that was kinda modish with Snow White’s fairytale elements implied. The final product was absolutely très chic! 😛 Our Disney obsession knows no bounds, seriously. So with the blessings of our fairy godmother (aka Sim Video) and just a little bit of pixie dust, we were able to create our very own Snow White story, #Bobbliana style! Scroll down for all the photos! Mirror Mirror on the Wall, Who Is the Fairest of Them All? Now, make a wish, and take a bite. The photoshoot was undertaken by my dear friend, my colleague, Yong Thye (of Sim Video ), without whom so much of what we planned simply would not have been possible. I sincerely believe there is no other video company out there that would have accommodated all my zany requests in the way Sim Video has. Whether it was out in Paris taking photos in the wind and rain, or filming a Disney style epic, Sim Video has time and time again surpassed all my wildest expectations. They’ve captured and immortalized moments that I will always treasure, beautiful memories of the best day of my life, moments that I can share with my family, friends and even my children next time. Someday, My Prince Will Come… The Snow White ‘Poison Apple’ challenge, administered by my pretty bridesmaid, Tiffany! 😀 The challenge certainly looks fatal. Haha! Our Fairytale Begins… Our Wedding Entrance Our Royal Emcees – Sebastian, Keeb and Tiffany! Keeb: (Clapping) Pretty awesome! Have you seen anything like that?? Wow! Tiffany: A modern day fairytale. Sebastian: All that’s missing now is a complimentary apple! Those were the actual words from our Royal Emcees at the wedding. These ‘Poison Apple’ favours were then handed to all our guests before the first course was served. OUR FAIRYTALE SQUAD Actual Day Wedding Photography by Lightbox Productions Cutouts by Paper Meister Wedding stylist: Beth of 1-Host Tell you a secret – I could feel tears welling up in my eyes as I go through these photos by Kwang of Lightbox Productions. It was as if I was still at the wedding! He captured so many significant moments and expressions, images of that beautiful day started to flood my mind. I’m so glad I can always relive those amazing and magical memories again through his photos. I must say, each and everyone of the wedding vendors listed above really went out of their way to ensure our wedding was as magical as it could possibly be. - Travel Review: Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel (Room)
Think ‘Hotel’ and ‘Disneyland’. Shake both and what do you get? A nice, luxurious Victorian Disneyland Hotel! So do they live up to their magical name? Read on to find out! G’day Honeyz Belles! You had the first glimpse of my Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel adventure in this fashion post. Now imagine I’m your Genie in a lamp and let me take you on a little tour around the ‘Room of Wonders’ on my magic carpet. Credits: http://disney.wikia.com/wiki/Magic_Carpet And here’s your key card to begin… Hey! That’s Woody from Toy Story! The marble floor outside the room. Did you spot Mickey? Here we are at Room 3113. Hold on tight as we glide into this elegant room on our magic carpet! Cute Mickey motifs on the entrance mats to liven up our Disney spirits! Psst! They are friends of Magic Carpet! The bar top counter. A well-stocked mini bar fridge. Notice the cute melamine mug and additional refreshments? Over here! According to the ladies at the reception, the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel is a family hotel so its rooms always have items that are meant for a family of three. Pretty much like the Three Bears House – for papa, mama and baby bear. Here are other examples of its ‘three bears’ concept. The robes in the closet. The mugs in the bathroom. Papa and Mama’s… Baby’s! I see some of you glancing at the Disney toiletries and amenities. Alright, since we’re already here, let’s explore the Snow White themed fairytale bathroom! Seven Dwarfs hotel amenities Soap bar Bath gel, hair conditioner and shampoo FYI… Body lotion is not provided. The shower Notice the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs carvings on the sides of the mirror? Aren’t they exquisite? And here we see our little friend, Sneezy, at the tissue dispenser. Just what he needs whenever he goes into a sneezing frenzy. I think that’s the classiest waste basket I’ve ever seen. Alright, let’s get on the magic carpet and head to the bedroom! Credits: Amazon Whoosh! Sleeping Beauty Castle headboard for our fairytale slumbers. Bedside table I like how everything in the room always has a Victorian touch to them like the… wallpaper, door knobs on the closet, bedside table, coat hanger, lamps, furniture, oil paintings on the walls, pillows, sink, laundry bag, and shoe shine cloth. And sometimes they come with a Disney twist! Such as the writing materials, kids step stool, bath robes, and the princess bed frames. The room also provides a full length mirror for you ladies to assess your outfit before you step out of the door! When carpet and I are not around, you need these technologies for your magical fixes. An interactive phone where you can select stories to be read to you or the kids! An international plug adaptor to charge that iPod or laptop. FYI… No wireless internet in the rooms. Free wireless internet access is only available in hotel lobby, dining locations and Conference Center. This room is known as the Garden View Room so let’s check out its view! My verdict… I like that it provides an international plug as foreign guests may often forget that sockets are different overseas. The TV also offers an extensive selection of networks such as Disney channel (in English, Mandarin and Cantonese), Channel V, HBO, etc. Double thumbs up! However, I was pretty surprised that the hotel does not provide body lotion like many other 5 star hotels. It is a bathroom essential to me especially during winter when skin tends to be more dry. And I was also shocked to know that I have to walk past the lobby to get to the swimming pool. This is not ideal for guests who prefer to wash up in their rooms after a swim. I don’t think they want to walk around the lobby soaking wet and in their bath robes. I also thought our room did not provide a nice garden view. It overlooked palm trees and parts of the building. 🙁 If this matters to you, I suggest you request for a view of the room before checking in. Overall, a pretty decent room with an Edwardian and Victorian touch to it. 4 Honeyz crowns! Wait wait! Don’t turn in yet! Our Disney oasis getaway do not end here. Watch this video for a complete Disneyland Hotel room experience. Well, I hope you had a good time exploring the enchanted walls of Disneyland Hotel and discovering your inner princesses. Our next trip – Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel (Lobby and Swimming Pool) Before I retreat back to my lamp, I want to inform you that Honeyz is celebrating her first birthday and she’s giving away Sephora Vouchers for your royal beauty treats! To enter the contest, like Honeyz Facebook Page , share this birthday post , and comment ‘Shared Honeyz’ on the link of this post on Honeyz Facebook Page to win! Your fairytale journey begins here . - Unfiltered CNY Moments, Family Banter & A POP MART Surprise at Jewel Changi Airport | CNY Vlog
I’m probably the last person on this planet still posting about CNY. 😂 I thought about just moving on to my regular content, but after watching some of the footage, I realised they were too precious not to share. These clips are pretty raw and unedited. I kept a lot of our banter because it’s just so authentic and really captures the CNY spirit. If you celebrate CNY in Singapore or Malaysia, you’ll probably recognise plenty of familiar conversations, activities, and scenes in this vlog. Haha! I also got invited by Jewel Changi Airport to check out their Spring into POPsperity event with POP MART at Jewel Canopy Park. Whee! Hope you enjoy this one… and here’s to counting down 11 more months till the next CNY! ✨ Your friend, Juliana

- Do You Really Need a Whole Hour for That Task?
I’m back with another motivation and productivity post! Lately, I’ve been loving writing about these topics because, after everything I’ve been through over the last decade as an entrepreneur who started three companies, I’m still learning and facing new challenges every day. If you’re going through the same, I hope my posts can help you too. Time and time again, I realise that efficiency and discipline are the two things that help me overcome these challenges. Alright! Today, let’s talk about time management . Ever noticed how a seemingly 30-minute task can somehow drag on for hours just because you have the time? That’s Parkinson’s Law in action! Wait, hang on! Every time I mention Parkinson’s Law, people always assume I’m referring to Parkinson’s disease, but nope - it was actually coined by a different Parkinson! So what is Parkinson’s Law? Parkinson’s Law states that, Work expands to fill the time available for its completion. So what it actually means is that tasks often take longer than they should because when more time is allocated, people subconsciously stretch the work to fit that time, even if it could be completed sooner. This concept was first introduced by C. Northcote Parkinson in a 1955 essay published in The Economist . Here are some examples of Parkinson’s Law in action: 📌 At Work You’re given a week to complete a report that could be done in a day. Instead of finishing it early, you procrastinate, overthink, and unnecessarily expand the work until it takes the entire week. 📌 At School You have a month to prepare for an exam but only start studying in the last few days. The time was always there, you just didn’t use it efficiently. My Personal Experience with Parkinson’s Law A year ago, I planned to expand my company, which meant finding a new investor. Thinking I had plenty of time, I took a hands-off approach, delegating the task to a team member, assuming it was in good hands. Eight months later - zero results and we were zooming towards a critical landmine! That’s when I realised I needed to step in. I had one week to accomplish what hadn’t been done in the last eight months! It wasn’t a smooth week at all. There were major team changes, clashing egos and obstacles that made it even harder to secure an investor. But because I had tightened the deadline, I pushed through, bulldozed past the roadblocks and in the end I secured an investor in just three days . Woohoo! And guess what? This investor turned out to be one of the most compatible business partners we’ve ever had and now the company is finally thriving in the right direction! Here’s another personal experience sharing. At one point, our company’s processes slowed ridiculously due to a manager who insisted on long, unnecessary meetings. Some dragged on for three hours when an email would have sufficed. We tried addressing it, but faced a lot of pushback. (Setting boundaries is another topic I’ll elaborate on in a future post!) The result? Performance dropped, revenue suffered and frustration grew. That’s when we applied the principles of Parkinson’s Law, putting aside excess niceness to focus on getting things done efficiently. We implemented strict meeting caps: ✔ 30-minute max per meeting ✔ No small talk, no off-topic discussions ✔ Key points covered in the first 5 minutes ✔ Anything extra? Take it to email. And guess what? Productivity skyrocketed. As of today, this simple shift has helped us move faster, work smarter, and get things done without wasting precious time. How to Beat Parkinson’s Law?? 1. Set Fake Deadlines 🚀 This to me is the ultimate solution. If you have one week, challenge yourself to finish in two days. The urgency will force you to eliminate distractions and work efficiently. 2. Use the Time Blocking Method 🎯 Schedule fixed time slots for tasks. For example, I gave myself just 2 hours to write this blog post and another 30 minutes to add photos, SEO tags and descriptions. When the time was up, I realized everything was done and honestly, I was surprised! Previously, I could spend an entire day writing and rewriting the same post. Time blocking prevents unnecessary work expansion, keeping you focused and efficient. And the best part? The quality didn’t slip. I still covered everything I wanted in this post. If there’s anything I feel needs more detail - well, that’s just an opportunity for another post! 3. Prioritise Essential Work 💡 Not everything needs to be perfect. When I edit photos, I usually correct the colours, remove people from the background and even clean up dirt and rubbish in outdoor shots. But sometimes, I end up spending so much time on just one photo that it becomes difficult to consistently create content every day. One day, my husband challenged me, “Don’t give it 100%, give it 80%.” So I tried it - I corrected the colours and left everything else as it was. No excessive Photoshop, no obsessing over tiny imperfections. And guess what? The photos received almost the same amount of engagement as my usual posts! Plus, I saved so much time. Now, here’s the caveat: This applies to content I post on my own platforms. As the title suggests, it’s about prioritising essential work. If I know a piece of content will be used for marketing materials or client projects, I still give it my 100%. But for daily sharings and casual posts? 80% is more than enough. Final Thoughts: Time is What You Make It Parkinson’s Law is everywhere from work to chores to personal projects. But once you recognise it, you can take control of your time instead of letting it control you. So next time you’re about to spend forever on a simple task, stop and ask - “How fast can I actually do this?” Chances are, you’ll shock yourself at how much faster you can really move. 😉 I hope this is useful! Have you noticed Parkinson’s Law at play in your daily life? Let me know in the comments! Your friend, Juliana
