Advertorial
A week ago, I was invited to Sunkiller’s Product Launch event at Octa Hotel Cafe, Parco Marina Bay.
I was having a wonderful time until I was mysteriously ‘murdered’ by a fellow invitee. Gulp!
Tragic but true. Avenge me by continuing to read this post for clues to the assassin’s identity.
Also, read on to find out more about this season’s ‘hottest’ products from Sunkiller! We arrived at Octa Hotel Cafe at dinnertime last Wednesday and was immediately greeted by the cosy rustic French surroundings, an amazing spread of delicious food, warm hospitality and great company.
Then I was mysteriously killed halfway through the event by a sneaky murderer.
Oh well. Since I was dead, I began to roam around ‘haunting’ people. Hehe.
And I found a new friend! This is Younhi from Korea. She’s an interpreter as well as an image stylist! Check out her blog at http://yonisvintage.blogspot.sg for her eclectic fashion choices and tips!
Then we were introduced to the star of the party – the Sunkiller sunscreens!
It comes in five variants namely the Perfect Strong Plus, BB Perfect Strong, Mild Milk, Cool Perfect Strong and Clear Water.
From left to right: Perfect Strong Plus, BB Perfect Strong, Mild Milk, Cool Perfect Strong and Clear Water.
What makes Sunkiller so special is its high quality and efficacy as well as its reasonable price point.
The Sunkiller Perfect Strong Plus is the first widely available sunscreen in Japan to be awarded the PA++++ grade by the Japan Cosmetic Industry Association.
All the variants, except the Sunkiller Mild Milk SPF38 PA+++, contain both chemical and physical filters.
Great for sensitive skin!
Some chemical filters generate free radicals which can cause skin damage, irritation, and aging. The Sunkiller Mild Milk SPF38 PA+++ is formulated for sensitive skin, and thus, only contains physical filters to prevent any form of skin irritation.
It is so gentle that even kids over one year old can use it!

How to Use: Shake container well with the cap closed before use. Take an appropriate amount (approx. 2 cm in diameter) and spread it evenly over the face after moisturising skin with lotion or cream. Suitable for use as a makeup base.

Afterthoughts…
The consistency is light and runny. Upon application, it leaves a greasy film on the skin. But after some spreading and blending, the greasiness vanishes into the skin leaving it soft and protected. 🙂
The PA++++ grade is a huge bonus on top of its hydrating properties. It is perfect for those who are prone to sunburns.

Another sunscreen to write home about. This is a moisturiser, sunscreen and a BB cream. The texture feels just like the Perfect Strong Plus – weightless and smooth. However, I’ll not substitute this sunscreen for my foundation as it does not disguise freckles and acne well. But if you’re looking for a multi-tasking sunscreen to even your skin tone while shielding it from the harmful rays of the sun, then you’ll love this.

I’m almost done with my Hada Labo UV Milk and have been searching for an alternative for days. So the arrival of the Sunkiller Mild Milk is absolutely timely. It’s great for sensitive skin and won’t bust your budget. Even though the formulation is thicker than most milk sunscreens I’ve tried, it still goes on the skin really well and absorbs quickly.

The consistency is similar to the mild milk – thick but leaves a silky smooth texture after application. I was rather impressed with its non-sticky quality as most sunscreens that are water-resistant tend to produce that effect. The lingering minty smell also creates a refreshing feeling.

So who really killed me?
Here’s a hint –
“Old friends pass away, new friends appear. It is just like the days. An old day passes, a new day arrives. The important thing is to make it meaningful: a meaningful friend – or a meaningful day.”
Sunkiller will be launching the “Who killed the Sun?” Facebook Campaign on Friday, 11 Oct 2013, where you ladies can participate and guess who the Sunkiller culprits are.
Please avenge me by picking out the culprit!
Contest ends 1st Nov, Friday.
