Pan Pacific Singapore Reigns Supreme! Trust Me, Even TripAdvisor Will Agree!

B and I stayed at the Pan Pacific Singapore Hotel a few years ago, albeit not at the same time, we both retained similar pleasant memories of the charming hotel.

However, the good experience was entirely overwritten two months ago when we visited the refurbished luxury hotel for their Bed, Brunch and Bliss one-night staycation.

This time, we got ‘more than what we asked for’. 😛

I would say, the 5-star treatment has now been elevated to a whole new level with cosy suites that offer magnificent panoramic views of the city and complimentary champagne brunches which are simply – an epitome of stylish living and grandeur.

We felt like royalty as we indulged in our idyllic getaway.

Within 48 hours, the pre-wedding jitters were lifted away and the brunch, I don’t even know where to start.

If you’re looking for a resplendent romantic respite that pampers you as well as your belly AND that simply screams ‘Fabulousa!’, then you have to read on!

And this was where it all started.

Checking in was a breeze. We were warmly received by Pan Pacfic’s associates upon arriving the hotel lobby. Before we even introduced ourselves, they addressed B and I by our names! That certainly made us feel really welcome.

Then we headed to the Pacific Club for our check in but was promptly told that their Pan Pac associates had already conducted an in-room check in on our behalf. Whoa???!!

Well, less time for admin procedures means more time for play! Woo hoo!

Before we head to our room, we were given a private tour of the hotel premises. The first thing we noticed?

These cute floating timbre pods at the lobby of course!

They weren’t there during my last stay at the hotel in 2009.

Evidently, the hotel underwent an extensive furbishment.

We asked for more details and was told that the hotel closed for three months for a complete makeover in 2012 and today, the lobby features Asia’s LONGEST bar and we’re talking about a whopping 44 metres! As well as these adorable pods that are set over water to give their guests a comfy private space while they enjoy their drinks and music.

I was also very glad to see that they retained their iconic 35-storey atrium which features these glass elevators that oversee the lobby.

And now it’s time to go up, up and away!

And here I am on the 34th floor – all ready to check into my room of wonders.

But first,  let’s check the view.

Hmm… not bad, not bad.

Okay. Enough messing around. Say hello to Pan Pacific Singapore’s Harbour Suite. 🙂

OPEN SESAME!

And it leads to this. 🙂

Just what every vain girl needs – a mirror with built in lights!

“Oh Juliana, what big mirrors you’ve got!” and the girl replies “All the better to check for blackheads, apply my mascara, and remove accidental lipstick stains with, my dear!” #justbeingsilly

First there was the #selfie, then the #footsie. Now I’m gonna start my own trend, the #tubsie!

Bath lovers will cry if they see this.

Imagine soaking in this luxurious and smooth designer concrete tub filled with a mass of frothy bubbles. Aaah…

It’s so big I think it would be able to fit three of me comfortably. Here’s a wide shot of the bathroom.

Check out the amenities!

Yay! Products from the UK’s leading beauty brand, Elemis! Now I can recreate the luxurious spa experience in the comfort of my own room!

Besides the usual shower products, hand cream and nail kits, the hotel also provided this Elemis Cooling Mint Mist spray that’s absolutely refreshing for the skin.

It’s ideal for jetsetters for a quick pick-me-up after a long flight. Think of it as Febreeze for your face!

Tiger Balm ointment spotted! Who would have expected to see this???

In case you’re wondering what you can do with it…

It is perfect for soothing bloatedness, headaches, muscle strains or any other discomfort you may have! #TrustAuntJules

The bathroom never ends. Here’s the other side that features the toilet and shower.

Yay! More Elemis products in the shower room. 😀

I love how elegant, contemporary and seamless the entire bathroom looks – from the sleek marble tiles to the neutral interior. Great design pointers for our new home, B!

Next up – the walk-in wardrobe!

Yup! You read me right! Every suite is equipped with this spacious walk-in closet that also comes with a full-length mirror, safe, comfy cushioned slippers, ironing board and sleeping robes.

And now we walk through the door way again to enter…

… the living room!

Yup, I’ve a living room too. 😛

The living room is a dream world on its own. There’s a large sofa, smart TV, nice selection of magazines and even a Nespresso coffee machine!

Psst! That is an ergonomic Herman Miller desk chair by the way. Office luxury at it’s finest. 🙂

This personalized message was displayed on the screen when we came in.

Stuff that was on my work desk.

A very futuristic thumb drive with everything we need to know about our Bed, Brunch and Bliss one-night staycation (and that includes the perks)!

Another personalized note by the Pan Pac folks. 🙂

As you can see, we were also granted access to the Pacific Club that is situated at the crown of the hotel on level 38. It offers stunning 360-degree views of Marina Bay, the South China Sea and the city skyline. Designed to blend the business and leisure needs of guests, the Pacific Club experience includes round-the- clock access, privileges such as refreshments and cocktails, and personalised guest services.

Regrettably, we didn’t visit the club at all (except during the private tour) as we were too busy taking photos and enjoying the other facilities of the hotel. Well, maybe next time. 🙂

Going back to the room…

With just one click, I can request for anything in the world!

Okay, we kinda did. We requested for a DVD player, room service, more Evian water and we received them in a jiffy.

I also noticed this device on the table. Can you guess what it is for?

Tadah! It’s a table lamp! Simply swipe the strip shown above to adjust the brightness. Very cool eh?

Wowee! In-room treats by their very own Pacific Marketplace.

These cookies are da bomb! B and I broke our no-carb diet for these bad boys! Haha!

Yup. And we gobbled them up within minutes.

Fresh juicilicious fruits anyone?

Can’t forget the mini bar!

Everything is FOC except the alcoholic beverages.

No alcohol? No problem!

Those complimentary juices and these choco babies are enough to satisfy any beverage needs. 😛

Nothing beats a king-sized bed with plush linens and pillows, in front of a 37” Smart television that synchronises wirelessly to your mobile devices!

And that view behind me…

Breathtaking, eh?

Did I mention that the staycay package provides more than just a room?

It also offers a gaping 30% saving for dinner at hotel-operated restaurants and bars but note that advance reservations are required at Atrium, Pacific Marketplace, Edge, Hai Tien Lo and Keyaki.

Bobby and I celebrated our first and last Valentine’s Day at the Keyaki so we intuitively made reservations at Keyaki for a romantic pre-wedding dinner date as well as to enjoy the 30% discount. Hehe.

You have to see the food!

The sashimi was fresh, meat was succulent and the presentation – unmatched. No wonder they’ve stayed on top for so many years.

This wasn’t in the menu that day but we remember having it during our last visit and falling head over heels with it. And guess what? The chef kindly offered to whip up this dish again for our dining delight!

In case you’re wondering, it’s grilled asparagus enveloped in a delectable slice of Wagyu beef. Mmm…

We’re done with our very indulging dinner! #utterlysatisfied

And now it’s back to the hotel for a relaxing hot bath.

And here comes the biggest horror story of my stay – I forgot to bring my Lush bath bombs. Teng teng teng! I bought them, packed them together but totally didn’t remember to lug them along when I left my house. Urgh!

But ‘life will always find a way’ – when I was about to prepare my hot bath,  guess what I discovered???

Yup! Bath salts, courtesy of Pan Pacific! Not a bad substitute. 😛

Rise and shine!

Awww… I wish I can wake up to this spectacular scenery every day.

After taking the above photo, we headed straight back to Keyaki for more photos with their Tanuki statue and zen decor. It was too dark to capture the serenity and beauty of the garden so we decided to do it when it’s bright and sunny.

Morning kiss! Muuuuaaah! :*

About time for brunch!

The privileges of the Bed, Brunch and Bliss package are endless I tell you!

We were also treated to a four-hour Sunday Champagne Brunch (usual price $158 per adult) for two at Edge, the hotel’s live theatre restaurant located on level 3 of the hotel as part of our staycay perks.

You’ll be astonished to know that the Champagne Brunch offers an extensive sumptous selection seafood, Japanese omi wagyu beef and Pan Pacific sausages grilled a la minute, prime rib and suckling pig on the carvery, truffle eggs, freshly- made duck confit ravioli, a two-metre cheeseboard and over 20 dessert choices, complemented with Veuve Clicquot Champagne which is apparently, my most favorite champagne in the world!

Seeing this just makes my day! Whee!

When we arrived, we were immediately led to our table which was already reserved by Pan Pac and… it has my name on it! 😀
