A style and dress that embodies the essence of Disney princesses is easy to attain but their perfect anatomies? It’s Mission Impossible, for me at least. Disney Princesses always have this flawless silhouette that’s made up of thin demure shoulders, a slender neck, a narrow defined waist and perky boobs! The aforementioned features can probably be achieved with a good workout routine but fuller bosoms? That’s gonna be… a bit of a challenge. Just when I was pining and whining for a well-endowed hour glass figure, I received an invitation from SHOU Slimming Centre . Whee! It couldn’t be more timely. I’ll not be indulging in their body shaping services this time. Instead, I’ll be focusing on another ‘problem area’ to perfect my silhouette and that is – the bosom buddies. 🙂 Yup, on top of slimming remedies, SHOU also offers bust treatments to help lift, tone and firm the breasts. Before the therapists of SHOU made any recommendation, they thought they could give me a thorough consultation first. So I was led to one of their cozy treatment rooms that is designed with their customer’s comfort in mind; ambient music, soft lighting and warm spa linens. 😀 Most spas would either offer a towel or a draw string type of wrap for you to change into. I never like those as the towels tend to slip off a lot and the draw string? I don’t even wanna go there. SHOU took comfort to the next level by providing a soft elastic spa wrap for customers to wear during the treatment. See? It doesn’t slip or strangle my chest. 😛 I felt right at home! Haha! Later, they also covered me in a cushy blanket to make sure I felt warm and snug during the treatment. Abby of SHOU  who’s also my personal therapist of the day, then began to examine the shape of my boobs as well as the distribution of fats. Honestly, this can be a pretty uneasy process for anyone as you’re exposing your body to someone else for a thorough analysis. However, Abby made sure I did not feel discomfort or even violated by constantly making sure that the rest of my body was covered during the reviewing process. And she would always politely say ‘excuse me’ before she touches my chest. Sometimes I even think that she’s too polite and would assure her that it’s ok. Modesty issues aside, Abby was also very friendly and caring so I felt like I could share all my beauty woes with her like my less endowed figure and underarm fats concerns. After a good 20 minutes discussion, Abby suggested employing their SoftLight Bra treatment to get rid of the dreaded armpit fat and to lift the bust. The SoftLight Bra treatment is a safe and non-invasive procedure where light of specific wavelengths is delivered to the skin to stimulate and activate cellular processes deep within the skin layers which increases the production of collagen and elastin. In other words, the treatment is performed using a form of light therapy (or photostimulation) which is notable for its high effectiveness with minimal adverse effects.According to Abby, some of the key advantages of this treatment include biostimulating properties that can firm and contour the breasts and also cellular regenerative abilities that heal damaged cells by accelerating the body’s own natural healing mechanisms.Sounds great to me. Alright, now let’s get started! Abby prepared my body for the treatment by opening the acupuncture points. And she did so by placing this device on my toes, back, chest and the mammilla. Then she began to massage my bust upwards with the device below for 30 minutes to lift and tone the saggy skin. Comfort level – 7 out of 10. I’ve been there at least four times now and the results are rather alarming. My underarm fat is visibly less prominent. It’s difficult to tell the difference like that. Let me illustrate it for you. 🙂 Now you see it eh? Yay! I can wear my strapless bridal dress in peace now and not worry about unsightly armpit fat bulging out. 😀 SHOU is constantly on the lookout for new ways to improve their treatments and upgrading their machines are one of those ways. The new machines provide more intensive treatments for more visible results. So in case you’re wondering why the machines used on you are different when you visit, well, this is why. 🙂 All in all, I enjoyed my time at SHOU. To be honest, good results weren’t immediate. It took a couple of treatments to see the differences but I love the relaxing experience and its lasting effects. I’ve always wore B-cup bras and recently, I find myself shopping for C-cup ones. Don’t get me wrong, the treatment hasn’t elevated my bust size invasively. What it did was merely shift the excess fat from the back and sides to my chest, giving my bosoms a more voluptuous look. It’s the most natural treatment to progressively increase the size of your breasts. Even though Abby did not apply any creams on me during the 50-minute treatment, my skin always feels silky smooth afterwards. It’s baffling why that happens but who cares? I’m loving everything about the treatment. I wasn’t expecting a gain in the bust area so 4.5 Honeyz crowns for their effective program. I’ve realised my ‘curvy dreams’! Thanks Abby! Good things come to those who moisturise. Alas, my time has come.. As we evolve, our spaces should too. When I first designed our office 7 years ago, I had very different business goals. The office was meant to be a communal space where like-minded individuals would gather to collaborate, create content and enjoy the perks of being a member of Honeyz Cube (my beauty encyclopedia website). Things are very different today due to the pandemic and the government-imposed restrictions that didn't allow gatherings of any sort back in 2020. Hence, I decided to shift the goal posts and close down that side of my business to channel my energy towards my mobile clinic and blog. I believe our space has to inspire us and tell our story and at the moment, it's not telling mine very well. So I decided to give the Bunny HQ a makeover to reflect my rejuvenated entrepreneurial story, my current decor preferences while creating a fresh new backdrop for upcoming shoots and campaigns. I really took my time with this one as it's the place where my creative juices flow and momentous work milestones are achieved. 😁 I'm so glad I'm finally able to do it with gorgeous furniture pieces from IUIGA . I fell in love with their furniture and home decor items when I visited their Furniture Fair a few months ago and the rest is history. You wouldn't believe how the space used to look before this big metamorphosis. Due to our busy schedules, I neglected this corner of my office for months, accumulating tons of props, studio equipment, random knick knacks from shoots, eventually leading it into a derelict state. Even our gorgeous fir tree couldn't save this desolate corner of our office. It was becoming inconducive for work which completely defeats the purpose of having an office. So I decided to embark on a little quest to look for new furniture pieces to revitalise the space. Kriti Art Painting IV ($69.90) I love the clean lines and the colour palette of the Kriti Art Painting IV . It looks so calm and artistic, reminding me of a Bali villa or a Las Vegas desert home. This is exactly what I need for a reading nook. Rustic Jute Round Rug ($189) I also like the idea of a carpet in the space as it creates some kind of segregation from the rest of the space, realising my little reading nook idea. Did you enjoy your long weekend? I went to a Halloween-themed Disney event (which I shared about on Instagram ), saw a few patients with the RESCU Rangers and am now just chilling and waiting for my Grab dinner to arrive. As I was waiting, I was also admiring our little Fall dining table centrepiece that I'm super proud of. You are the pumpkin to my spice! It's that time of the year again where Starbucks delights our tastebuds with their signature Pumpkin Spice Latte! I profess I fall prey to this yummilicious autumnal drink every time they launch it, then find myself feeling guilty right after as it makes a serious dent on my financial and calorie wallet. So this year, I decided to create my own Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe that (in my honest opinion, and my husband and brother's) tastes just as good as the real thing at three times less the calories! Such a bargain, don't you think? Now let's add some scream and sugar! 👻 Let's talk ingredients! Ingredients: 50g of pumpkin puree (18kcal) 4g of instant coffee (12kcal) 3 dashes of Pumpkin Spice powder (0kcal) 120g of skimmed milk (38kcal) 15g of Walden Farms Maple Walnut Syrup or 2 Equal Classic Sweetener tablets (0kcal) 100g of boiling water (0kcal) 10g of whipped cream (24kcal) Total calories of Jules' Pumpkin Spice Latte (295ml): 92kcal Directions: Mix all the ingredients together with a spoon or milk frother in a microwave-safe cup. Then put the cup in the microwave and heat it for 30 seconds. And et voila! Your very own low-calorie Pumpkin Spice Latte is ready! As we enter the final stretch of the year, my heart is usually aflutter with an electric buzz in anticipation of Halloween and of course, the most wonderful time of the year, Christmas! However this year – it all felt completely the opposite and it’s no surprise why. After my beloved Ah Gong passed away in May and B had to go for several surgeries along with other happenings, it’s been a truly challenging and testing year for us. Knowing that our Christmas get together this year would be missing one special place at the dining table, it had me torn up inside and instead of looking forward to it, I was starting to dread it. As they say, memories that once made you laugh now make me want to cry and those memories that made me cry now make me want to laugh. Anyone who’s followed me will know how much I adore these times but this year I just found myself questioning so many things and whether there was any point celebrating. Recently, B was given the all clear and suddenly, there seemed to be some glimmer of hope. Other things started to fall into place and it dawned on me that while really a lot has happened this year, I’m still so fortunate and still have so much to be grateful for. It really helped me draw some perspective on what matters and what doesn’t. I have my beloved Ah Ma, my parents and of course B, all there championing my corner in the game of life and as I sat down to centre myself and my thoughts, that spark started to reappear. If anything is clear, it’s that life is fickle, short and I can’t sit around moping and lose valuable time that I could be spending with my loved ones and doing things I find meaningful. With B by my side, better late than never, the Halloween decorations finally came out and so did that warm fuzzy feeling I always get this time of year. The excitement and anticipation started to return. And as my excitement grew so it did in the eyes of my family and they’re all already asking what we’ll be doing for Christmas this year. I know in my heart Ah Gong is always with me and there’s no way he’d want me sitting there like a recluse in a corner, abandoning everything that was important to me. So with Ah Gong in my heart and everyone else who’s been there supporting me all the way, let’s have some fun! Because life’s too serious and no one gets out alive anyway! I was scared of all the things that happened but now I’m more scared of all the opportunities I might miss, so let’s make the most of it! Here’s my Halloween transformation 2019!
