This season, turn on your style radar for stripes and scallops!

Everyone is raving about stripes...

From celebrities...

... to fashion magazines...

... to top fashion portals like whatiwear.com.

And of course, scallops are also receiving the same attention from A-list celebs.

Most recently, these famous shellfish designs are not only found on hems of shorts but on dresses as embellishment too.

Spotted. Victoria Beckham, Emma Roberts and Jaime King rocking in scallop dresses.

There's absolutely no way I'm going to miss out on these trends, so here I am in Triselle's Color Block Scallop Dress!

Woohoo!

This awesome dress merges the statement print and the wavy shell fish pattern to give a fitted striped bodice seamed with scallop details that is perfect for the ultimate trendsetter!

The best part? At a fraction of the original price.

No kidding. The dress is sold in the Triselle Sales section at only SGD29 (Originally priced at SGD43.90).

Now who says you can't find trendy pieces in the sales department?

After the photoshoot, I attended Rachel K's 'See the Difference' Product Launch (in this dress) and received many compliments for it. :D

Afterthoughts...

Needless to say, I love this dress. The bold stripes has definitely gave my boring wardrobe a little kick.

The cut and design makes it easy to style up with colorful bags and shoes that are great for an evening night out with the girls or that hot date. :) My favorite feature is the slightly puffed sleeves which gives off a swanky 80s look.

However, its length might not be ideal for the office if you're standing at 165cm and above. For the rest of us petite girls, the length of the dress (four fingers above the knees) ideally elongates our legs to create the illusion of slender legs.

The material is thick and weighty so this means it can withstand multiple washes. However, the texture of the fabric is on the rough side so it might not be the most comfortable to wear on a sunny day.

The craftsmanship is excellent with neatly and beautifully sewn side pockets and pleats.

All in all, I thought the dress is the quintessence of an understated style and sophistication at a reasonable price point.

So 4 Honeyz crowns!
